That's fine, but for others he most certainly did
Like who? Genuine question. Greaves, Morton, Seri and Tufan had all performed to a good level before. The latter two had been poor in the immediate past for Hull so he did well to turn around their performances though they’re very high calibre players for this level.

He got Connolly performing really well for a third of a season too. People like Philogene, it’s just a case of bringing in real top quality.

Liam Delap had very poor loan spells and had his best at Hull with Rosenior. Philogene doesn't really count as top quality (when he first joined) he also had subpar loan spells before hull. Can't say I ever heard of people raving about Greaves or Tufan until this season either.

The video of Rosenior on the training pitch is canny, dunno who will be more enthusiastic him or Luke :emoticon-0102-bigsm I really like when he pulls the young lad aside and asks him specifically what he’s learnt from the session, little things like that can go a long way

fully expecting someone else to get it now I’ve sold myself the Rosenior dream

In reality this squad doesn't need much to compete. A sprinkling of experience, a striker who can get 20 goals and a Head Coach able to manage the dressing room and have a couple of tactical plans.
If the club think Rosenior is the man to do that, they so be it. They have made 2 very good appointments and 1 bad one. They still have credit in the bank as far as I'm concerned, however I'd caveat that by saying this summer is a huge one for the club - I'm heartened to hear KLD acknowledges mistakes have been made, but the proof will be in the pudding when we assess what Head Coach and what squad we have on 1st September.

Beale was hated at Rangers yet they’ve brought in Clement who’s done no better. Hasn’t won a single game against Celtic in about 4 attempts this season.

Rosenior might be a nicer bloke to work with, he seems like a decent man manager but Beale had a much better win rate at QPR than Rosenior did with Hull, and practically the same with Sunderland as Roseniors Hull and we categorise his stay here as ****e. That Hull squad was much better than both ours and QPR’s too.

Not trying to cause any drama just wondering what people are basing their opinion off other than seeing a video of a team talk on twitter after they beat Huddersfield 1-0.
There isn't a Rangers fan in the world who doesn't think Clement is better than Beale.

Rosenior immediately has more about him. Comes across better from what I've seen. And Hull fans are mixed about him, which is more than can be said about QPR or Rangers fans about Beale.

I don't know enough about Rosenior to have a strong opinion either way on him to be honest. Just happy to give him a chance. Sometimes managers are better fits at certain clubs. It's not an inspiring appointment but also doesn't feel massively underwhelming like Beale was.

"Welcome Hecky"

I don’t think he’s being negative, he’s raising good, well reasoned points in a civil manner. It’s completely different to the flouncing and negativity for negativity’s sake that we see elsewhere.

Why shut down any discussion?
I agree, I was enjoying reading the discussion from both sides and thought some valid questions were asked. Dont think people should be called negative when they havent posted something necessarily positive, just stops good convo and debate.

On the Beale vs LR point, I'd be nowhere near as deflated with LR than I was with Beale. Without going into stats, I want the next head coach to be coming on an upward trajectory, Beale was basically hounded out a couple months prior to his appointment here, whereas LR has a really good relationship with the Hull fans. Obviously data doesnt reflect these sort of things (which tbf may not be important!) but that's one key difference for me. As well as that, LR looks to be more assured as a head coach over a sustained period, 18 months of good work in this league is a bonus.

I'd still be underwhelmed with LR if im being totally honest, not as much as Beale though and I think LR would do a solid job here in time, just not sure if he's the man to take us to the next level, hopefully he is.

Happy to admit I was wrong when we finish in the play offs this season

Philogene is definitely top quality for this level. It was always acknowledged as a massive coup do Hull to get him and there was surprise all round that he was dropping to the Championship on a permanent transfer.

Tufan was also considered to be a top signing on paper for a Championship club. Granted he was awful, along with their other top Superliga signings, until Rosenior came in.

Greaves has always been a top prospect. He was talked about as being guaranteed to be a Prem player even back in our L1 days.

Good point on Delap. Interestingly someone says on the Hull forum thread that I posted that Delap was one of their most important players but it’s because he seemed to ignore Rosenior’s direction on levels of directness.

Good assessment, this is basically my take also, we're not a million miles away from the playoffs, just a competent coach with a few good ideas and a decent summer in the market and we can make a good go at getting into that top-6.

Unfortunately this has became the norm with large parts of our fanbase, they think our players are better than they are. No denying we have a lot of potential talent in the squad but at the minute a lot of them are nowhere near and we have too many in the starting Xl imo, which I think most of us have already agreed all season we lack a bit of experience to help guide the younger players through tough games. Philogene had 18 goal contributions in 32 starts this season, Clarke had 21 in 45 starts last season and we’re quick to claim he’s the best winger in the league and he’s worth £30m yet we dismiss other teams talent. Tufan is a full international with a lot of experience playing for Fenerbahce, including in the CL. If he’s ****e then what on earth are our players? Super ****e?

I think it’s one of those where you ask Hull fans to do a combined Xl they’d have barely any of our players and most of our fans would do the same back if asked for their combined Xl.
