My guess is that they must be close but they don’t expect things to be done before Still is announced at Lens. I reckon they’re getting this message out to manage the inevitable lunacy that will appear online once Still takes up his new job. Not that it’ll make any difference to some though. People have been asking for the club to put info out and as soon as they have, the loonies are in uproar!

I think them things kind of roll into one. Always preferential to get players in for pre season but often good deals aren't there until the end of the window. Hard to balance the two.

The statement is fine just hope it's not KLD making a rod for his own back, some people will take imminent as today and will start to get on his back.
