Always. As a season ticket holder of 20 years and a family that goes. I will. What I vent on here isn't the same. I won't accept others who just say it's all fine. All the time. No matter what. At least have an opinion on something.
Fair enough mate. I'm frustrated by our fanbase (or the online representation at least) because it flips and flops from one outrage to the next, believing every negative story and losing their heads on an almost hourly basis. Not referring to you here, just having a rant. If it IS Rosenior (and keeping in mind that the sole source of this is Fishpaste and even he is only suggesting/guessing that he's on our shortlist) then let's see what he can do. Judging a manager based on his performances elsewhere isn't always an accurate assessment - I'm sure Stoke fans might agree with that one.
One of the positives about Rosenior, apart from the things that actually matter, is that the optics are relatively good as you say. There's a handful of people dead against him but I'd be amazed if there was anyone going off their nut at him at his first game like they did with Beale. I don't see him as a safe option I think he's exciting, but on the whole safe isn't a bad way to describe how his appointment would go down.
If I read the word "optics" once more I think my head may explode. Up there with starting sentences with "hearing", "Understand" or "source indicate..." Just speak normally FFS
Surely if Jansen wasn't a very strong contender, and it was likely to be Rosenior, the club would have briefed that Nixon was wrong altogether, rather than just the 2? Just setting themselves up for a fall by leaving people to get their hopes up...
With Rosenior I do get why people would be apprehensive but going off how early it is in his managerial career and what he’s achieved so far bar the recent blip that made him fail playoffs it’s actually quite impressive. hull fans were gutted when he got sacked and he literally turned them from relegation ****e to playoff contenders. He’s got plenty of potential and I do think he would have learnt from last season like any good head coach would. All head coaches have had failures, Mowbray at Blackburn, Maresca didn’t do very well at Parma, Alex Neil was meh at Preston. Head coaches suit other clubs better. I think he’d be a canny appointment. That said if I could choose I would probably pick Jansen but if it is Rosenior I’d still be excited. Just my opinion
I think that's the first time I've ever written or said it, I'm not fond of it myself. Seemed a concise word to get my point across but I'll try and do better.
What optics are we talking? The ones I was looking at this evening were quite appealing, mind, there was Jack Daniel’s, Bells and Curvoisier sitting above them…
