From recent replies I'd say you're correct.

 

Sure - our squad cost more than the billion that Kloppy had to spend ... we just knocked a few digits off to make it look like £28 million ... brilliantly cunning plan ... fooled all the other teams that year, of course... we wuz robbed of the asterisk that was rightly ours!

 

To be fair they only really started spending stupidly after the title win, they might still be in a healthy position if they sought out more Vardy, Kante and Mahrez's. Instead they started pumping £30m into the likes of that rando Algerian striker who done **** all and that Portuguese midfielder that they couldn't even register for half a season . I think it was wages that really killed them though, they were something like 110% of their turnover ffs, but it's the big six hurting them of course, not stupid business...
