Still in European football with a good academy set up. Football financial issues, in my opinion anyway, are never as bad as is made out. We hear every year about different clubs needing to raise funds and yeah they might not be able to spend for a window but come the year after they'll be back to spending big. Look at Leeds right now, plenty talk last week about them needing to pay something like £150m in transfer payments this year, but then Red Bull sponsor them and a few players are looking at leaving and now that problem has supposedly went away. Lens will be fine.
Obviously a chance still and lens is already agreed but if it isn’t then still will have a bit of pressure on him. We need to give him a deadline of today, he turns us down, then he risks Lens not even offering him the job and he’s left with nothing for now. Chance for us to take control of the situation.
I'm not sure why everyone is saying it has to be today. It just feels arbitrary and reactionary. The club will be working towards a conclusion with much more information than we have.
It’s not necessarily either or though is it? He may not fancy either job. Michael Walker’s tweet didn’t mention Lens at all.
We can only hope, hopefully, today is the deadline. I'd like to think they have done most of the interviews since Beale left.
I say today because at what point do we let this go on for? Say we give him til the weekend and he turns us down then it’s another week down and another week closer to preseason. These talks appear to have been going on for weeks now, at some point we have to move on from still.
That's kind of my point. I'm not in a position to say how long we let this go on for. I have no information with which to make an informed decision. I just do not know.
That’s funny as I see it exactly the opposite, I believe if he does well here he will be hooked, he won’t need to look anywhere else.
grandaughter decided she liked it, along with the video...i suffered week after week and could never get it out of my head.
