Need to give Still a deadline of say 6pm today to accept our final offer or we move on. If he’s supposedly agreed our previous offer last Sunday, then it shouldn’t really take him long to accept or decline our latest offer. I’m all for going the extra mile to get your 1st choice, but there comes a time when you need to move on.
Said the same, shouldn't drag on after today, can't afford to wait around for Lens to make up their minds.

Nobody knows for sure, just from an article that was on X, French journalist saying Lens were interviewing many candidates and haven't decided on their manager yet.
Many were daft enough to think he'd been offered a contract on the spot, myself included.

Now it sounds more like he's been called back for an interview and is one name on a list of candidates.

He's obviously flattered and interested in what they'll offer. Meanwhile SAFC have to sit patiently and wait with a towel and a bunch of flowers like a hooker's husband in a comedy western.

So is this deal still on or what? We waiting on Lens to decide whether they want him or not? I hope we hear something today, dragging on far to long. I know the alternative is not looking good, the St Mirrens manager.
This Still saga is starting to feel like the Borini incident that dragged on all Summer.

Journalist reporting that Lens would have to sell 100 million in assets before spending. Surely he will come here?
It certainly sounds like there is a lot of turmoil going on at Lens. Their fans on Twitter don't seem happy with their new general manager and one or two seem to be making comments about their finances.

Hopefully, our financial stability will count in our favour. Thank God for sustainability, eh?

True but you could say the same about the stuff posted on here, comes down to what and who you believe. Just going by what the articles were saying.
True. So you believe Robinson is the alternative. I don’t.
I’ll just wait and see. Can’t get my knickers in a twist over any of it. What willl be will be and we just need to get behind whoever it is when appointed.

I hope it doesn’t go the same way as the Will Grigg signing where we ended up throwing money to get him to sign when he didn’t really want to be here and his heart wasn’t in it..
It’s one thing trying to get a good deal but paying over the odds for another Will may not be such a great idea.

Provided they are sensible, KLD should stick to his spending limits on a new manager. There are still plenty out there.

Will Grigg was on his way down at the time, whereas Still is an ambitious manager on his way up. The only way to fulfil his ambition is to be successful at his next club. If that's us, that would equate to promotion to the Premier League. Which would do for me.

My thoughts too. The idea we're sitting around waiting for decisions from Lens, which may or may not come in good time, doesn't seem plausible to me.
Tbf Still can be in contact with more than one club at a time I'm sure if it is true we have offered him a better deal over the weekend he will make a decision himself
