My thinking is very much along the same lines as you. Speakman's signings of players capable of stepping up to Championship level while we were in League One were very good. Since we've gone up to the Championship, he hasn't been successful in adding the type of players we need to keep making positive steps. My worry is that we may need a more experienced DOF for this level and beyond. He may prove me wrong this summer, but I agree that this is his last chance saloon.

Look mate, with what's come out today, you've been vindicated. It sounds like your source was almost totally correct. The only deviation was that Still was sent a contract to sign and didn't - he hadn't actually signed. As far as the club were aware at that time they had got their man. A spanner was thrown in to the works at the last minute by Lens. I understand you'll be pissed off having built peoples hopes up, but the vast majority can see how close to the mark your info was. The fact is, boards like this need people like you to feed it, or all we would get on a thread such as this would be people stating who they would like to take over, until the club finally appoint someone. End of the day the club has let the fans down again They keep telling us sac will be this, safc will be this and so far most of the time failed to deliver Speakman’s position is untenable
