If Diane Abbott is barred from running in the GE then it'll be tragic from the Labour party and Starmer.
 
tbh Starmer is showing a ruthless side that I didn't think he had.

It’s a tough call. Bit of a circus for a couple of days versus probably a much bigger circus when the Tories go with “look he’s basically Corbyn because he’s let Abbott back in and remember how much you hate Corbyn you peasant ****s”. It’s not nice but I get it.

I would bet my house that 70% of Brits don't give a flying **** if Starmer bans Diane Abbott.

I can to an extent but there needs to be some conviction from Starmer on something, and this seems to lack it. He is meandering along the path of least resistance rather than standing his ground or showing courage on anything.
