They showed in that documentary she was taught to speak like that prior to the 79 GE <laugh>

Well that's not that surprising, if you listen to her prior to her time as PM she had a completely different tone. Much softer.

Yeah, actually a quote of Thatchers that I do like was "You turn if you want too, the lady's not for turning." Due to the extreme public pressure and the rest of the Tory party wanting a U-turn.

I don't like her legacy, but I also did respect her ****ing hard nosed attitude. She was a tough old bird.

Apart from the Falklands, inflation did significantly go down, but that might have been her second term.

I think she was like a lot of leaders that have been in power too long, Thatcher, Trump, Putin...Hitler....they become dictatorial...they think they are infalliable, then begin to lie and imagine a new order etc etc or in Putin's case, how things use to be ...whereas I tend to think a single bullet to the head will sort them out. Even Blair has gone the same way, could never let that European dream go and ends up the looking like a devils loyal servant.

I think the same with Rishi, this is what this National Service is all about, control, much like the intended smoking legislation, more controls.

I don't think Sunak has ever felt infallible tbf <laugh>

He just comes across as an accountant who's been made PM. Hasn't got a clue so scrambles around for uninspiring bollox like those two policies.

I agree, I think Rishi comes across as a guy sort of put into a position way before his time by a party desperate for some type of leadership.

I find all these things Sucky posts about some deep secret evil conspiracy to sap money out of the nation like a leech to be completely far fetched, he genuinely comes across as a guy completely out of his depth, scrambling for some type of solution to his ailing gang.

Calling Cameron in to be FM was the sign to me that he was in dire need of some support from a senior member of the party.

He still wants control though, protest bill, national service, smoking legislation....covid <whistle>

We don't take it seriously enough but in a digital world it should concern people....we are sold it's to 'protect us' - yet the world is a less safe place than it's ever been if we believe everything on twitter.

I don't think Sucky is wrong, it's just that all the corruption is going on around Sunak without him being involved and was going on before he even became PM. Boris I can absolutely believe was involved though.

The Infosys stuff I'm not so sure about, I don't know enough about it tbh.

I think they're resorting to authoritarian policies to appear strong at a time that the party is at it's weakest.

I absolutely hate all these policies personally, I am really in disbelief that almost every party in the commons keeps ****ing agreeing with them. I wanted to puke when the "Liberal" Democrats voted mostly yes to a ****ing smoking ban.

The party that wants to legalise weed btw <laugh>

He's a millionaire bro....and you are letting him fool you with his act. Is it his mum and dads chemist routine that weakens your mind? <laugh>

Donald Trump is a billionaire and I think he's a ****ing dimwit

I agree, but I think he's s bit of a puppet. He's being pulled by different factions so just tried to come up with stuff to try and keep everyone happy.

The digital world **** is definitely tragic in many ways. I'd love a massive digital crash and we all go back to the blissful wilderness.
