Although they say we're pushing mock grief in their faces, I've not seen this and I'm not one to post any grief or RIP messages, but I was very surprised with how Speed's death hit me.

Mock grief!? Who are they to say we're just pretending to be upset!? Im genuinely talking aback my Speed's death today. Its really cut me deep.

Its as Ive said...some people got upset cos of Diana and Michael Jackson....well ive got upset over a footballer. Who, along with Alan Shearer is the main reason I started supporting Newcastle.

It seems mods on there, and im aware there job is hard enough and difficult enough to keep rational in, are more bothered about trying to inexcusably explain that paying respects has as much place on there as jokes. Which is true as its general chat, but sick jokes of that nature and the gatecrashing of the genuine RIP thread is plain wrong and its not on. To make this many threads about these 'jokes' shows how screwed up some people are.

I did indeed post about 100 times at three in the morning. I was at work, bored and with nothing to do. My friends weren't on Facebook (cue witty retort about me having none) and virtually everybody had disappeared off here as well. Why not post a few naked ladies on the Sexy Poll?

As for the 'small girl', don't make it out to be something it's not. However implicitly, you are insinuating that I have *****phile tendencies.

I posted the odd thing in GC when I first signed up but I've stayed well clear for months now and probably wont ever post in there again.

Part of me doesn't want to continue posting on the site at all if things like that are allowed to continue, it's in very bad taste considering it only happened today. Shocking.

Ive been in that frame of mind. And sadly, its not the first time ive felt like that with the site. It's really sad, because this site is ****ing brilliant normally. Its just the usual case of the minority ruining it for the majority

Agree with this. I actually cried this morning, can't get over how much upset me. He's not family and I didn't know him but he gave me many years of happiness. He comes across a genuinely nice bloke too and was so young, it was totally unexpected. It was more upsetting than SBR because the circumstances were so different.

It annoys me to think the GC arseholes think we're jumping on some sort of bandwagon but if anything it proves how alien a concept humility is to them.
