If the wages were right, yeah I'd take him. At 33 I don't know how much of his engine is still there, but having him come on if Seri gets tired would be fantastic.
I’d rather have someone like Leonard over Norwood tbh. Seems Walter likes a traditional number 6 with good physical attributes over a more technical deep playmaker like Seri. The two number 8s in a 4-3-3 seem to be the creativity in Walter’s midfield and the holding player (Meffert at Hamburg) was a ball-winner primarily. From what I saw of Hamburg, the back four were very fluid and the two number 8s were as well but the holding mid usually fixed his position. I actually think we’ll see far less of Seri next season.
Can't see any mention of whether Sheff United plan to offer Norwood a new deal, I'd be surprised if they don't, he's been one of their most consistent players and he's said he wants to stay there.
I’m gonna throw another random name in the rumour hat for ****s and giggles. Jusuf Gazibegović. Bosnian right-back who plays for Austrian club Sturm Graz. Was linked to Hamburg last summer when Walter was coach there and is attracting interest again for this summer from some German Bundesliga teams. Seems to be highly-rated and has good attacking attributes.
We could have a Slater bingo card, which positions will he play under big Tim. Think the only position he didn’t play last season was in goal.
Could have a food boat in NY marinas rather than a food truck. First of all it's closer to the prawns. Secondly, you could call it Noah's something or other. I know I'm thinking of a short and snappy synonym for a boat, but it currently escapes me... Kid clearly hasn't thought it through...
Apparently, Ludovit Reis has a €5 million release clause in his Hamburg contract if they don’t get promoted. Glatzel has a €1.5 million release clause for the same reason. They can be activated so long as Hamburg are in Bundesliga 2.
