Having watched some of the games since the announcement of him being a front runner. Most notably this highlight springs to mind. Granted this is a heavy outlier but if this had happened under Rosenior I think you’d have blown a gasket

I hope they realise that stupidity is never good way to play

Again whats unnecessary? Because it’s such a broad term. I’d need to see an example of what you think is a necessary pass around the area and what is unnecessary
passing to a player on the edge of the area who is tightly marked
taking a goal kick to a player in front of goal 8 yards out so the opponents can tackle the player or make him panic

I could show examples of that were it’s both worked and not worked. Yes if you totally eliminated playing like that you’d not concede a goal that way. I don’t think you’d inherently concede less goals however.

Most of our goals conceded in the last year or so have come from transitional moments where we’ve lost the ball in the middle of the park or played direct and lost the ball subsequently giving up possession.

If I recall rightly the most recent mistake in our own third was probably Morton’s errant pass against WBA? Then prior to that it was probably Seri’s away at WBA and Allsop’s mistake at QPR. That’s 3 goals out of the 60 we conceded this year. It’s hardly moving the needle and in reality would’ve gained us 1 point from those 3 games I’ve mentioned

What is the alternative to what you’re suggesting anyway?

All of these are part of Walter’s strategy though. Granted, it’s done in a way to draw opposing players into particular areas of the pitch in the attempt to create a numerical advantage higher up the pitch, but it still relies on creating risky situations in which you’re intentionally inviting opposing teams to press, just like Rosie’s system.

passing the ball wider and more quickly up the field

Out of interest what do you think Walter is going to do? Don’t just say more attacking football either I mean play style
I dont know
I think, given Acun's wishes, to move the ball up the pitch faster and not spend as much time passing among defenders in our own half.
