Two houses for sale.

Both identical spec, in very similar locations, both valued the same.

One goes through a bidding war and the new owner pays 25% more than initial asking price.

The other stays on the market for months, new owner pays 25% under asking price.

Which buyer would you rather be?

Absolute bollocks that mate. 10 pound a raffle ticket to win 100m or 5 pound to win 10m. Which ticket would you buy?

You need to learn what i mean when i talk about net spend

We have a bigger out lay of spend than they do so therefore more ambitious going by your theory

They have spent 25 millions but brought in over 53 million, so theyve made a massive profit (if they were as ambitious as you say they are then they should have spent more than theyve receieved?)

We have spent 18.5 million and brought in just over 10 million, so therefore we are in a negative so therefore spent more of our own money

Blackburn finished a few points behind us last season, stayed up by the skin of their teeth.. Huddersfield finished 3rd in 2022.. then started scrimping and now they’re in L1. Barnsley made the play offs a few years before and got relegated the next season.

League position isn’t really an indicator of ambition, sometimes teams just have a good season coupled with other teams being ****e. I don’t think that play off season can be looked into too much, we didn’t get promoted therefore it counts for nothing.. it’s what you do to build on that imo and we’ve gone backwards, but we all know that. Hopefully a decent managerial appointment and a good transfer window to come, some better players ready to hit the ground running. Offer competitive wages instead of wasting millions on players who A) aren't ready and B) are competing with other players that have had transfer fees spent on them - because you might make a few quid.

It's obviously fine you being miserable about everything, each to their own, but laughing in the face of positivity isn't really helping anyone is it.

Surely it's better to let people be optimistic than trying to pull them down.

Hes been a nob towards me over recent posts. Dont get involved mate ive known you a long time and dont want to fall out

You called me a Nob for no reason

He's a troll, just give him the same energy back, he doesn't deserve any sort of profound discourse.

Depends if I was homeless in the meantime and how much I was spending on rent etc. I get your point completely, but there’s no guarantee if you wait that someone won’t swoop in at last minute. It’s complicated, it’s always a trade off.
It’s not my money so that’s all down to KLD ultimately, he’s the majority owner.

I get that mate, and if you ever need to talk just DM me

I didnt take it personal, we all have opinions - we wont always agree on them and thats totally fine btw

I get more defensive on recruitment aspects as i know how tough that side is in football

We both totally agree that last season was totally unacceptable from a recruitment point of view and the managerial situation

Yeah apologies mate, my posts are coming across aggressive based from my current mood with every day life. Please dont hold it against me

Mods have removed my challenge, which is fine, but I think sparring is a great way to take someones respect, sometimes known as a straightener, it can chill people out online.
