Ezes sell on fee?
What if he's not sold? Or goes for a smaller-than-hoped-for fee?
Just asking. I don't want to lose Salter at all but someone may have to go, surely?

I dont see why anyone has to go. We have been working within budget and those that are being released will create some wage leeway.
We'll be selling whoever we get decent bids for if the board have learned their lessons. Keeping hold of players who have re-sale value is exactly why we were in danger of breaching FFP for the last couple of years. IF Eze gets sold then it would give us some leeway

I think when it comes down to Olise or Eze it will be either/or rather than both. With rumours they would rather sell defender Guehi than either of them.I dont thint the Eze scenario is an IF, its more a who and how much.
I think I read somewhere that since 1st Jan, his ppg was 1.8.Given what we've seen of Marti, I'm sure promotion is very much on his radar whether 24/25 or the next season.
I would be delighted if Cifuentes signed a contract extension, even if I still can't quite yet fully join in the Marti love-in (some truly dire performances need to fade from the memory before I could do that). He's plainly done an excellent job in keeping us in the division and I think what I find most exciting for next season is the collective spirit that there seems to be in the squad now, for which he deserves credit - probably along with some of the senior players (I imagine Cook would be very influential here). He and his coaches have made us far better defensively and we now score from corners whilst not constantly conceding from them, plus the Jimmy Dunne to right back move has proved a masterstroke. All this without a natural goal scorer at centre-forward, so overall it's an 8 out of 10 from me.
I literally said we've missed the 'sell' window too many times and can't be too choosy if the right bid comes in. Merely from a playing point of view it would be a shame to lose JCS.If we don't sell Jcs, where do you think funds for the required players is going to come from?

4th? I didn't realise it was as high as that, thought it was upper mid-table ish. I can't see Marti leaving us yet but maybe only promotion would mean we keep him beyond next season. I feel like the massive overhaul of the squad is going to make us a bit of an unknown quantity. With 10(?) Players out of contract, two loanees and potential sales we're going to look a fair bit different next season. Our form from 19 games mid January had us in 4th place to the end of the season. It's not over-optimistic to think with a proper striker and one or two additions we'd have a good chance of making the play-offs. Our biggest fear is Marti being targeted by bigger clubs, he's apparently on Hull's shortlist. It's nice to be thinking positively after the last 18 months...

We’ll be demanding Warnock when we’re on four points from the first six games.
Ubers still waiting for his letterWe’ll be demanding Warnock when we’re on four points from the first six games.

That's playoffs.
I do appreciate plenty of future unknown variables.
All very good but how did we do over 46 gamesThis is last 15 games, we're better than we think we are...

He’s exactly the sort of player you should sell. Nearly 27, injury-prone with the exception of most of this season and coming off the back of good form with two years on his contract. Obviously someone has to make a reasonable bid but it would just be repeating the old mistakes to keep him in some mad promotion gamble.
