Still left Reims early for a reason - stating he’ll “see you very soon” on his social media. The stars seem to be aligning a bit too much on this one. He’ll want to be straight back in to management.
I hope so mate. I know it's been going on a while and KLD wants Still. However, as of this moment, I have no idea if the weekend was successful or not. I hope so.
Fingers crossed mate. I’d be over the moon with Still. His appointment would bring a lot of optimism.
I still don't understand why it couldn't just be announced, he can continue with getting the licence? The club will know they have a fanbase clamouring for an appointment, a playing squad wanting to know who is going to be coaching them next season and potential new signings who will want to know what they may be coming in to. I'm not saying it's not Still but if it is and the three week thing is correct then I personally think it's more likely due to tying up some sort of contractual stuff (with Reims) than it is to do with his course.
Hopefully the club announce something soon as I can see it turning messy again if there's no football and just silence from the club. I'd prefer the club to have no leaks tbf, unlike West Ham, for example, where everything comes out, including the team. If it is Still and he's completing his course. I'm sure someone said the last part of his course is 4 days long. Which could lead to this Friday (clutching) or more than likely Reims season finishes in 3 weeks so we're waiting for that. Funnily enough I know someone who's nephew went to school with Still and his brother in Belgium, don't think they were mates though unfortunately for us
Most big decisions will be taken after consultation with the board of directors. However certain directors will hold more sway depending on their areas of expertise. But the fact remains that appointments of DoF and head coach will normally be approved at board level. So the arguments on decision makers could be fairly moot. It could be that KS has had his wings clipped a bit or it could be that KLD and a trusted advisor from the borders are holding interviews whilst KS has been tasked with getting recruitment right. It could be neither of these scenarios, truth is we don't know and everybody is using rumour and supposition then filling in the blanks to try and work out what is happening.
Maybe. I have said it's complicated and expensive. Could be a number of factors. I don't know. I'll be ok if someone is in before end of May. I personally hope they have finally landed Still.
I hope he's not considered for our job. Underachieved with the squad at his disposal (particularly in the second half of the season) and painfully slow, boring football for the most part.
You cant just join a cohort at the drop of a hat mate. I suspect it has long been booked. Plus if it was day one of his last block yesterday he will finish it Thursday.
If he has done all other blocks alreqdy he would likely have missed some Reims training. His brother probably took over. It is a hell of a time commitment which is why most get it done before thinking about the top job.
Been throwing money around recently haven't they? Made some good loan signings too - Carvalho. Ambitions to go up
