Duane Eddy, the pioneering rock guitarist known for his instrumental 'twang', died on Tuesday at the age of 86.

The Grammy-winning musician passed away from cancer in Franklin, Tennessee, surrounded by family, according to wife Deed Abbate.

'Duane inspired a generation of guitarists the world over with his unmistakeable signature 'Twang' sound,' a rep told Variety. 'He was the first rock and roll guitar god, a truly humble and incredible human being. He will be sorely missed.'

Always liked this by him. Won me a bet with someone who reckoned he had not recorded it as a single.

Worcestershire spin bowler Josh Baker has died at the age of 20.

Baker made two County Championship appearances this season, the last against Durham at Kidderminster in April.

The left-armer made his first-class debut in 2021 and played 47 games in all formats, taking 70 wickets.

"The news of Josh’s passing has left us all devastated," said Worcestershire chief executive Ashley Giles.

The club has not said how Baker died.

Sorry to hear this news, a very likeable guy. In 1974 I got a chart from Golf Weekly which I put up in my office. There was an area tp predict the top 3 places..

    I put
    1. Gary Player
    2. Peter Oosterhius
    3. Jack Nicklaus

That's how it finish, pity I wasn't a betting man.

RIP Peter, a gentleman of the game.

I used to watch BFTB when I was a kid, I had no idea what it was about, just remember Yosser & “Giz a job, I can do that.”

Only just realised now that King Theoden & Yosser are one & the same.

    RIP!

Reading some of the tributes they seem to mention every role he played except the one most of us associate him with.:emoticon-0145-shake
