What is unarguable in my opinion is the way it was handled was naieve. It was clear we had no solid plan for a replacement. Then we put a new fella in ahead of a period in the season where coaching opportunities is limited. Mowbray and Beale are now history. But those responsible for the decision making related to sacking and appointments have been found lacking. No doubt they will either be gone, or have more scrutiny next season. Those appointing coaches need to understand the necessities to give them a chance to succeed. In Mowbrays case and Beales case the hierarchy created an environment in which failure would be more likely than success. Lessons can be learned, sure they will be. The next lad needs to think carefully, and get his assurances.

Seems to be a few mentions of not getting the support promised. I'm not sure they were as good as they make out, support or not.
 
Moore is getting far too much credit. Doesn’t the other forward they’ve signed, Al-Hamadi, have a better goals to minutes played ratio?

I think Grigg is an the exception as Donald got the piss taken out of him. but 9 times out of 10 we have gotten it right, Bent, Gyan,Fletcher,Stewart,Wyke,Jones (covering a few eras there) all scores Goals. Yes there's been a few duds mixed in, but historically we've always had a good keeper and strikers. Borini was one of the most shocking because he was a machine when on loan.

I dont think that Grigg is an exception, how about Altidore or Connor Whickam, however you spell it.
I take your point that quality players cost good money, but spending good money doesn't always guarantee that you sign a good player, that fits the team. You have to do your due diligence to ensure that you get what you think you are paying for.
The counter argument is of course that you can pick up a bargain, now and again, Kevin Phillips anyone.

Think he scored a few against Sheff Wed and Millwall when the games were already well out of sight. Hutchinson been good for them season half of the season too

For all of the big money they’ve wasted on ****e, Leeds paid around £1.5m for Summervile. Plymouth paid the same for Morgan Whittaker. He’s one I’d definitely be going in for in the summer if the price is reasonable, can’t see it being more than a few million if they go down.

Broadhead one reason, they have been fantastic, and Moore, no team has ever done what they have done in the championship from league one/3rd div etc. and we thought we did great last season our plan has been terrible.
