I think allowing people with current seats outside of the safe standing zone to renew where they are, but forcing displaced STs to go to safe standing or suck it is taking this piss really.

I go with my Dad who is just shy of 70 and has a dodgy knee, standing isn’t really an option, so we can get ****ed I suppose?

I get the club wants to funnel people into the home end, but it’s not really an option for some of us, if all seated areas are going to be more than £499 (already a £140 increase for me) with no renewal discount then no chance of renewing our end, wonder how quickly the club will find a lot of other people choosing the same.

Their sales strategy is very heavily relying on us getting promoted imo, it will fail big time if we are in the Championship next season.

My Maths says cheapest new seat for a displaced season ticket holder next season will be £549 at best, so that would be a £190 increase for me. This is based on the cheapest remaining seats being £499 + 10% and rounded up. I know we were lucky to be in the cheap section this season, but that is absolutely ridiculous.

/rant.
Where do you sit at the moment and how much did you pay?

Also, I wouldn't assume the £499 standing seats will be the cheapest - standing is generally cheaper because you fit more in, but the safe standing system still allocates everyone a seat. I think the corners will still be the cheapest place to sit next season.

Yes, but one's taken up by the away fans and the other the family zone, where you'll need to buy a child ST with an adult one to get in there. i don't think the two corners by the Northam will be anywhere near as cheap as the Itchen/Chapel corner this season.

Cheap section, ticket was £359 for this season.

I freely admit that was a great offer from the club this year and I did expect some kind of increase. Anything above £499 though is non renewal territory for me, so unless I can get a seat for that its a no go.

Just unwilling to pay that much for football.

I was going with the most optimistic scenario I could think of, if those are not available then the next cheapest section +10% is outer center which would be £600+

£359 to £600 for a 75% chance of Championship football next season, na.

That said I am waiting to see if there will be any kind of renewal bonus for displaced STs post the standing window.

I fully expect there to be seats cheaper than £499.

I think there will be a cheaper section, just not £359 cheap. Probably £400ish if we're still in the Championship as a guess.

Just out of interest, how much was an adult season ticket in the Northam this season?

£499 for renewals, or £519 for new STs

(I'm basing that on the Chapel prices. But Chapel and Northam both fell into the same "wings and goals" price category, I believe.)

I think you'll be paying between £400-£450 this season. The club have said 10-15% increases and it's on them to deliver that.

I think the cheapest will be around the 500 mark outside of family zone perhaps.

There just isn't the corner space to allow for another cheap section.

ST bought in block 43 - still loads left.
Thanks! Appreciate it.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned the amusing fact that in the ST announcement article they were speaking about having to increase price due to ST freezes but then also because of a reduction last year.

We got relegated ffs. It would have been a pisstake if they didn’t when you go down into a lower league. Tbh I think it’s **** that they’re raising them 10/15%. The atmosphere is already dreadful, I’m honestly surprised to read some think it’s alright. Hearing a half hearted “Oh when the Saints” barely reach around the stadium and then hearing “When I was just a little boy” 50 times a game is just depressing at times compared to what it used to be. Hell the only player that gets a song these days is Aribo. It’s just awkward to when things get so dire you start hearing songs about players that haven’t been there for 10 years.

That’s why I’m for the move tbh. Hoping the Northam wall brings a bit of life to the place.

Seems a bit bollocks to me that. New season tickets able to buy before current even know their renewal price?

Also reeks of sales not being as good as expected.

They have overpriced it imo, standing should be cheaper than seating.

I know two people who are considering moving to the Northam, but aren't prepared to commit to the move until the club reveals the renewal prices for their current seats. I imagine that there are many others.

I understand the club wanting to wait until they know which division we'll be in, before releasing prices. But it's really not helpful for fans.

The majority of blocks 40-45 have sold out of season tickets, with about half of block 46 remaining.

There may be current season ticket holders that don’t renew of course, but it looks like sales have gone pretty well for the available tickets.
