I was only vaguely aware of Palmer prior to this season but was still surprised when Man City sold him as he'd looked good on the few occassions I'd seen him (like the Charity Shield when he scored).

He has been astoundingly good this season and has to have a role somewhere for England. I've really liked Gordon for us this year but with Rice, Bellingham, Saka, Foden and Palmer I don't even see how Grealish gets in let alone some of the other peripheral options.

Shame Englands defence is weak really otherwise we'd be a genuinely excellent team.

Every-so-often I see him have a game like this and think the same but most Everton fans I talk to say he's the Mr reliable in the team and to be honest he's always been very good for England. With Pope out injured (and being dodgy on one of the few occassions he played for England) and Ramsdale being dropped by Arsenal I'd say Pickford is pretty safe.

 

Saw him live at Brighton and he was phenomenal. You’re going to have a bad game occasionally playing with the dross he has in front of him.
