Thing is once we agree it’s bribed officials the game is done
There are some optimistic people on here lol who don’t want to believe it
I do fall in the line that it’s generally poor officiating but some of that article is hard to deny
And Tierney seems to be something more
You have to imagine Klopp knows everything we have been saying as it’s Tierney he called out

You really have it in for optimists, don't you? :)
It's not that I dismiss the idea, but like all accusations of wrongdoing, I'm reluctant to judge without compelling evidence.
Hearsay and suspicion don't come into that category. The statistical evidence carries a little more weight perhaps, but I'm no statistician so I don't know how watertight the information gathering procedure is.
To me, accusations of serious corruption need to be examined as though they were in a court of law, and hearsay is never enough for that.
If a confession comes about one day, or irrefutable evidence, then we'll all know.
Until then...it's not that I prefer the idea of incompetence or bias of individuals over a purposeful policy - it's that I consider it far more likely.

I'm more an optimist than not. I like to think I'm also open minded - not accusing anyone here of not being open minded, just pointing out my stance. I think it's a good position to take because you can't outright say 'it's a conspiracy' or 'it's not a conspiracy'. Like any good detective, you look at the evidence, follow where that leads and come to a conclusion.

People often say that they just use the 'eye test' when watching football but this can sometimes prove not to be reliable, for example, when a player has been deemed to have not moved much in a match when actually it's shown that he covered more ground than any other player. Basically, other than chit chat around a game and the general banter that we get up to on here, it's best not to assume something (like conspiracy) unless you have facts and data to back it up.

The link to Tomkins article posted above reveals a lot of information gathered over a long period of time using neutral sources i.e not gathered by Liverpool fans. When some metrics overwhelming support a theory, you can accept that something is a bit iffy without going full on conspiracy theorist. That's where I'm currently (sort of) at.

This is why I don't go on the Livpl board anymore. Bar two or three posters they've completely disappeared up their own arseholes.

Why do you lot always cry and bitch so much, Tierney is a decent ref, maybe you should just learn to accept decisions that go against you, instead of turning it into a **** fest everytime.

I think this thread needs more input, maybe Bumps could come back and play the victim a bit more.

Bumps says Klopp knows everything. At this point I thought we'd reached peak Twilight Zone.

Maybe we could get Klopp on the science thread to finally answer the question of whether aliens exist?
