Last couple of away games I've been to has involved sitting near groups of lads doing loads of coke, getting into fights, and missing most of the game. I'd rather sit next to someone moaning to be fair.

Presumably if they were fighting they were arrested?Any figures?

Sitting? Oh dear.

I guess that explains why there's less moaning from City fans at away games then... ;)

I've seen some arrests. Usually outside of the stadium.

I struggle to stand up for long periods, so yeah, sitting. You have a problem with that?

I struggle to stand up for long periods, due to lung and heart problems. But stand up, sit down for a while and get back up. And don’t moan about those who are standing and giving vocal support.
Would love to see rail safe standing as I can lean on them with no problem. In fact I feel better like that than hunched up in a confined seat. Rail seating about the height of the bar at my local would be an ideal height.

Rail standing is just a win win

Unfortunately it will not brought in here on the scale it is in Germany. And no doubt the SAG, council and Humberside Plod would find reasons to limit it or stop it at the MKM.

I never moaned about anyone because they stand up and give support. To use your own way of demanding things from people, show me the evidence of me doing that.

Tan has already said they want safe standing as part of their improvement plans for the MKM. It's legal for the club to do so, so there shouldn't be anything stopping them if they find the time and money to do it.

Any capacity increase will have to go hand in hand with the capacity of the supporting infrastructure. Think a lot will be to do with what can be done within the existing footprint without it getting too expensive.

Not if certain bodies say they can’t or restrict it to a ridiculous low number. Would love to see it brought in.

Which bodies though? The stadium is owned by the council, so they'd be involved. However, safe standing has long been a thing in rugby league, and I imagine Hull FC fans want to see it too, so the council would likely to be in favour of it. it makes no sense to reject something so normal for one sport and not the other. No one else would have the legal right to intervene.

It's the SAG I believe that would have to green light it, but there should be common guidance available to both club and SAG so any proposal would need to meet that and there shouldn't be any surprises.

In theory.

Fair enough! Unless there's something fundamentally wrong with the MKM as a stadium I can't see a license being denied. If they approve Valley Parade in Bradford for safe standing, they can surely approve anywhere.

It's not like it would be denied as part of a big conspiracy like some are implying. But what do we know, the same people also think we're one and the same.

I reckon a lot will ultimately come down to access and egress. But I'm sure those with an agenda will just dismiss it as 'nanny state' or similar.

Be careful what you wish for, you could end up next to Steverico aka King of the moaners, then it would be you doing the coke. :emoticon-0125-mmm:

I wasn’t referring to you in person. A general observation, I know of people being ejected at away games because our own fans have got the stewards involved. Something which surprised the stewards because they were more used to fans all sticking together.

Even worse, I could end up sat next to Cityzen.

Sorry, stood next to Cityzen. How dare I sit.

No. I would be stood in the safe standing area, You would put your seat down and demand everyone in front of you did the same as they were blocking their view. And, if you think that sort of thing would not happen the original proposal for safe standing here is that a number would be allocated for each space, as in a seat number but the seat would not be locked in place like it is in .Germany where they have two rows standing in some places between each barrier and here you would have the option to sit. There complaints at a couple of places here that they have trialled it that people have got a ticket in that area because it was the cheapest and then sat down and started demanding others sit down. Of course no City fans would carry on like that. Oh no…Apparently they quite rightly got short shrift.
