As far as I can see it's deeper than an opinion. Just a sad, petty long running feud between two strangers from opposite ends of the country on an online message board.

Whatever it is it's tedious and gets in the way for those of us wanting to read opinions on Hull City AFC

He was probably talking about a poster...not the actual twitter gimp.

Didn't say it did. Neither does experience alone make you a good coach.

No, I think he’s been brought in for his experience, like Deano was, but this hasn’t really worked.

According to the chief scout interviewed on the 1904 club he was brought in to mentor Delap and the other strikers as well as being used from the bench. That's on the record. It's not opinion.

Deano was still starting and playing 60mins most games. He was brought in to play more of a key role in the playing squad as unlike sharp, he was still scoring for fun. Albeit at a lower level.

Well if that’s what he was brought in for officially, then I think it was a waste of a signing.
IMO, he’s done the time as a player, but when I said someone experienced, I was thinking along the lines of someone who’s played, managed or assisted at a higher level. Has had experience to help Rosie too.
Like Brownie, when he was brought in to help Parkinson & also bringing Horton back for Brownie. When Phelan was brought in.
As someone else said, the back room is inexperienced, so adding further to it isn’t really helpful, IMO!

I can see the logic in what PB did with BH. But then his style of play wasn't a huge departure from what went before.

Wonder how many of those types from that era have experience of coaching a possession based system?

Imagine Nobby on the training ground when the keeper megs an attacker in his own box... He'd literally explode <laugh>

There will be people who could help, can’t think of anyone in particular, but I’m sure within the game, people will know people.
There might even be someone who could add to Rosie’s tactics & come up with something new & improved. Maybe the coaches already here can do that, I don’t know.
I just think that an experienced coach, or someone that’s been around a while & worked under top managers, could be more useful than people who are in complete agreement with the decisions he’s making, which seems to be the back room staff we currently have.

I think there's quite a lot of assumption in that post, given none of us have a lot of insight behind closed doors.

But the only one who's roseniors man is walker. The rest were employed independently by the club, so I doubt they'll just be yes men.

And given the majority were here before Rosenior, they'll probably be here after, working with the next guy as well.

Unless we go on rip-roaring run of form in our last 7 games, I would want Rosenior to leave after this season. We have made progress in the year and half of him being here compared to Shota being manager, but I do think that progress has stagnated. He just can’t seem to solve the attacking issues, despite being backed in every transfer window with players of a very high calibre for this division. The signings of Ömür, Zaroury and Carvalho raised expectations and rightly so.

I just think another summer of Rosenior would be sunk cost fallacy. It will be another huge rebuild replacing all the loanees, out-of-contract players and potentially Greaves and Philogene and I just don’t trust him to get it right.

Our current form has us in the bottom 3, how Rosenior thinks we are suddenly going to turn into a top 3 in form to get in the play offs is fantasy speak, our home form is mid table and that has cost us a definite play off position, because our away form is very good, shame because I wanted him to do well, but early on at home the signs were there that we can’t score enough goals

In fairness. I think the point that was raised on the 1904 podcast is a valid one. Are these players that were good in great teams and now they're in some adversity are they up to it?

I think Fabio has shown glimpses whilst also bringing the odd goal but you do have to wonder.

A handful of games ago we averaged 1.9 points per game, which is very close to automatics form.

Form changes quickly in football. And form depends on the sample of games you chose to select, which coming from you is inevitably going to be the worst possible to support your confirmation bias.

Between late September and early November Preston got 3 draws and 5 defeats in 8. I guess their turnaround is fantasy speak and you'd have sacked Ryan Lowe by the same measure?

Craig Bellamy? Annoying Welsh c@nt, but great striker & trying to make his impact as a coach. He’s at Burnley I think

    He would tick most boxes

You've just done the exact same though? Automatics form? If that was the case for any decent period of time then we'd be around the automatics spots.

As for a handful of games ago, we haven't won since Southampton away. We've won 5 in 16 this calendar year.

Indeed I have, to provide a counterbalance.

We're not a promotion side, and we're not a relegation side. Were a decent top half side, for the first time in how long?
