Sure mate, we can can all admire other sides. I certainly do. But that doesn't mean you've 'got me', as GG said. That is the talk of someone who doesn't support NUFC. Surely even you can see that.
Precisely. Why would anyone want to use carrots as bait, unless they had reason to trap something? Thus proving that GG isn't a true NUFC fan. Thank you.
I'm 18.7% body fat presently... I'm ****ing starving though and you're out here worrying about who's dangling carrots.. it's pizza I want dangling not ****ing carrots.
No chance carrots are probably my least favourite vegetable...if I yield to starvation I'm having no vegetables whatsoever. I'll probably get worse soon because once I get to 18% I only eat once a day at 3pm. I'm sorry lads.
Pizza is my favourite food but unfortunately I cannot have it.. I will probably have one cheat day every 3 months. That's a yield I guess.
Thing is everyone has valid points at times. Chaos was right regarding Bruce - His overall league positions matched that of Rafa's. No denying it. Yes the majority didn't like him. The man was a mouth piece for Ashley and showed zero ****ing ambition. I just didn't like the man personally but that's all subjective. Yes Emery has done really well since taking over at Villa. No denying that, and Villa have done really well. The trajectory however is the same as ours and the added pressure of champions league football next year could be just as detrimental to them as it has been with us this year.......Time will tell. Likewise Eddie Howe has this club in a hell of a lot better state than where it was when he took over. I personally think the man deserves to see the season out. When our first 11 are fit they can go toe to toe with the best in Europe (PSG) let alone this league. We might not beat everyone but we sure as hell are good enough to give them a game. The issue is the drop off between the quality of the first team and the second eleven.......This takes time. I've supported this club through more **** times than good times and I'll enjoy every moment of the journey just now. Difference is some people can take a defeat on the chin, They can appreciate mistakes are part of football just as much as moments of magic are. Difference being , They don't piss their pants and throw the baby out with the bath water simply because we concede a goal let alone lose a game. Supporters are meant to support players through the good times and the bad, glory hunters demand wins. Glory Hunters witch hunt players and find faults in everything. They sure as **** don't go onto other clubs fan forums and drag up **** from 4 years ago simply to try and prove a point over injuries to beat a man who has saved a club from relegation and qualified for the CL. The injuries earlier in the year were impact injuries. They happened on the pitch from fouls and challenges. The recent one's I'll grant you are more worrying but you've been banging this drum since ****ing August.
I am true fan. I just don’t blindly follow. I want us to succeed. To do so sometimes means change. Howe is making the same mistakes. He isn’t an elite manager. He’s took us to the next level from where we were which frankly was bottom feeder under ashley. Now we are a good club. But I want it all. I want is to be the best. I’ve seen us win **** all in my lifetime. And my list was a joke and a bit of banter. It’s fine when it’s thrown at the bedwetters but when it’s thrown the other way it appears it’s not acceptable. Come on mate you know I was just joking. But my stance on Howe still remains.
How you can say I take joy from NUFC failing is also beyond me. Have you not seen how upset I get on the match day threads sometimes because I absolutely hate losing. In fact I can’t stand losing and find it very hard to accept. I am extremely passionate about the club and want its absolute best form. I want us to win things. To do so we need changes in mentality.
I don’t quite accept all of this post but the majority. I shall explain the points I don’t. I can’t take defeat on the chin. It’s what we have done since the day I started supporting the club back when I was 6. All I can remember was defeat and failure most of the time. I am passionate about the club…… which leads me onto… Bed wetting. I am sick of accepting mediocrity. I appreciate the journey takes time but I’ve waited 38 years and counting to win something so I’m a little impatient. I can’t sit and watch and accept a coach making the same mistakes over and over again….. although….. I accept he has done a good job and taken us to where we are. But I can’t accept a period of more mid table nonsense. I want us to win things. To do so we have to progress and evolve. Mentalities need to change. An acceptance of losing or drawing or conceding goals is just a mindset thing left on us as a stain of the past. To become winners we have to accept that second is the first to lose. Howe has made the same mistakes in this tenure as he has at Bournemouth. Surrounding himself with nice characters and friends and family who are nice to work with. Not necessarily the best people for the job. I wonder if any of the medical department came from Bournmouth. Will add that your post was more or less 95% accurate in my eyes. But you maybe have to accept that some of us are just a little more impatient that others.
I agree about Bruce at least we've accepted that and I really appreciate that because many simply don't have that in them. I'm not seeing a fair argument about player criticism mind . It's all OK to do that with the likes of Joelinton, Hendrick and many many others, but Longstaff and Dummet and it's somehow different. Ultimately we all want Newcastle to win, but It definitely appears it's only ok to criticise players, managers etc when some say it's OK to. The injury situation I made a call on way back last year now and it does seem more people are beginning to question the same thing. There should be no problem there it's more constructive than just blaming everything on luck... it's actually just a really likely cause which is our over intense style of play over too many games.... managers all over the league complain about player demand issues. Let us all just accept eachothers views it's all just a game and it doesn't really matter what anyone on here thinks or says. Let's hope for a pleasant day.
At least one very very good player short of half a billion. Interesting figures but they don’t tell the full story as is usually the case with statistics.
Also £89m of that £414m (not £500m) wasn't even Howe I've deducted seasons 19/20, 20/21 and the Joe Willock summer £25m from 21/22
It shows the squad was better than people think. This is why Steve Bruce gets away with peddling this idea he had no money .. he actually had very good money. Results wise he did aswel as Rafa, but he had a better side. Newcastle really should be doing better with that spend over the last 5 years. Top 10 isn't really impressive.
I made this point with Haslam on the general board and maintain it here Everything below Brighton is really ****. Apart from Brighton, 9th and above are all the teams that spend money. Chelsea are an outlier but Chelsea are also a complete mess so they're an anomaly.
