Everyone thinks differently mate, I don’t believe they get ridiculed half as much as they should be.

I made that point to a lad who was accusing rawa of "kicking the can down the road". RAWA are a registered supporters trust with about 10,000 members and an elected board. We can't just decide on a whim to "protest". We'd need a majority vote from members, and that would need a clear idea of what we're protesting about, how we're protesting, and what we want to see happen. There's no consensus for any protest, never mind agreement on whether it's kld out, everyone out, tits out, just a "kick up the arse" etc.

But when accused of kicking the can I've said that anyone who really wants a protest can arrange one. They can start a group and it would spread on social media. They could ask the fanzines who don't have a membership to represent. They don't need the supporters trust to do it. I have a funny feeling no one will seriously do it.

A supporters trust, by and large, isn't a protest vehicle. I would want and expect rawa to be launching protests if the owners were putting the club at risk. That isn't the case. At the minute we're just a bit **** and every one is a bit sick of it. If they're taking us backwards next season, if we're still awful off the pitch and not addressing obvious weaknesses on it then if members wanted a protest I'd understand. But I'm pretty convinced that we'd look stupid doing it now, we'd get very little support from the wider fan base, we'd probably lose members and it would generally be a really bad move!

he was complaining about us announcing the works to the stadium saying just get on with it and don't need to see it,

then complained about the steels at the the stadium, someone pointed out it's been getting done, and then he asked for proof of them getting done and then complained the wasn't any

RAWA do a good job mate, I'm happy to say that despite my previous reservations you'll probably remember.

If RAWA had a protest now it would need a title which I doubt anyone could come up with.
The reason for that is, no matter what people claim, the title, if they were being honest, would be,
    "Spend, spend and keep spending."
I'm sure people will roll their eyes at that so I'll challenge them to post what they'd actually like ...

    ... ten words maximum <cheers>

I'm not even sure what we would protest? It's been a bit ****, but there's improvements off the pitch coming, a new head coach and the summer window.
Now isn't the time in my opinion, structured dialogue on the fans feelings yes, but not an actual protest in my opinion

This^^ some clarity over head coach would be good, but what exactly are some fans wanting to protest about?! You would think we are being run like Reading the way some are going on

    There is 'clarity' mate.

The club is currently interviewing their shortlisted candidates away from the SOL according to the rumours ...

... they can't say anything because there's nothing to report.

The candidates can't be named and, after the last debacle, I'd imagine they're keeping their cards very close to their chest.

I don't think it's even anger, it's frustration that we haven't kicked on after such a brilliant season last year.

RAWA need to keep up the dialogue with the club to ensure things they promise are done in sensible time frame.

As many have said this is a huge summer for the club off and on the field

We can all see what's needed. Whether we're fifty feet or five thousand miles away.

Last year we over achieved for our first season back in the championship, patience is needed, this season hasn't been the best, but I see it as just a blip, get the right manager in and will have a good season next season

Yeah I was just trying see what some fans are wanting to protest about, I understand a little frustration as we have been without a head coach since they sacked Beale. But if the right man isn't available till the summer then I would rather they waited.

Also, if some of that includes informal chats with coaches that are already employed. Although it happens its not actually permitted, so it WILL have to be done quietly

I would generally agree. I can understand why people are disappointed. It feels like what obviously needed sorting didn’t get sorted. Two, pretty much three managers pointed it out and it never got fixed last window. I probably back Mowbray on this as they made things frustrating for him by choosing the wrong players in Hemir, Burstow and Rusyn for the short term, and trusting Ekwah, with a zero defensive mindset, to do a defensive job. Possibly borne out of ego, possibly financial who knows but they misjudged it. Look at Man Utd’s signings, some of Liverpool’s also (they are being revived by younger players over those more experienced in some ways) but have a better blend - but spend 100 million. We can’t. I imagine they knew in winter what they needed but why they didn’t ? Who knows why but we have to live with it. Bad signings happen, if they continue people go and might well do. It’s crucial more are good than bad. What I do think is that we have to call out hysteria. We may get worse than what we have, it isn’t all bad, it tars us with a tarnished brush. We think we’re the best fans and we can be but I’ve seen some embarrassing things go on, including on this board since Bealewas rumoured, so in order to be the best fans we have to challenge the entitled mag like hysteria or it’s on all of us and I’m not prepared to be associated while saying nowt.

Nobody is seriously suggesting protests though, are they? Seems like we're not even past yellow on the fume-ometer.

This seasons drifted to a disappointing conclusion not a disastrous one but I'd say those at the club have enough credit in the bank to see how we prepare for next season at the least. Maybe not Speakman but that depends on KLD's view of the footballing performance.
