Didn’t we just give Macca a massive new contract in the summer?
Maybe we did - doesn't seem like LR fancies him, though. Maybe he was happy to sign a new deal knowing he'd be sat on the bench a lot of the time?

He's way too tall for us. We simply don't need those sort of players.Doesn't look good for Macca's long term prospects with us does it? IF he stays beyond the summer, then it looks like he'd be even more of a bit-part player next season than he has been this. Maybe he's not good enough to help us push on to the next level - but he certainly did a good job for us when we were in the mire last season.
Tbf, we did sign another striker.Delap has been a massive miss. However, he got injured at the start of the January window. What some of us can't understand is why we didn't sign another striker when the need to do so was obvious.

Rosenior thought Sharp, Ohio and Connolly would be sufficient. And that the money he had to spend would be better spent elsewhere. He was badly wrong, and it's almost certainly cost us a go at the play offs. Well, that and the pitch [HASHTAG]#obvs[/HASHTAG].
Everyone needs to stop banging on about how much we miss Delap. Yes he is a big player for us but it’s a team game and we should be able to cope without him. We are Hull City not Delap AFC. Around the Christmas period it was all about how we just missed Philogene and we would be so much better once he’s back. His injury is not what has thrown our season off the rails.
Unfortunately, I can see the Middlesbrough game being another ponderous performance. They are making a late run for the play-offs and currently sit just above us, so probably a 0-0 or 1-1 drab affair, which won't tell us anything we don't know already.

Yep. If we win our next three games - which is perfectly plausible - we will probably be back in sixth place, or very close to it.I thought last night was a big improvement from the Stoke game. We passed the ball quicker and were braver (but still not quite brave enough). We didn’t deserve to lose 3-1 but as others have said, it’s not the away performances that are worrying.
I think after Cardiff, the next two homes games (Middlesbrough and QPR) are crucial to Rosenior’s fate. They are both winnable games and will of course decide whether we are still in the playoff hunt. I think they may also show whether the players have his back.
not a fan - said the same about Junior Bruce and got slated for it - all he could manage when he left us was Bury, Wigan on the bench and Kilmarnock on the bench, which sort of confirms I was right - lets see what happens with Greaves, if we can get good money for him it will be a win win as far as I'm concerned then we can invest in a centre back who can command the box, win headers from crosses and can tackle and not get easily turned and end up tugging shirts

I think this is an irrelevant point as Coyle was imperious in the air as well as covering a number of times with his pace to make recoveryIs Coyle faster than McLoughlin?
Speed is more important on the wing
there should be more cover in central defence
While it's true that our speed of passing is one of the problems, Philogene contributes to the problem with his slow decision making. Like a lot of talented wide players, he's used to being able to hang on to the ball without being dispossessed, so if he gets it and then takes a few seconds to decide what to do then he's not going to lose the ball (except when he's up against a good FB like last night). So even if we get the ball quickly to him, he's often slow to move on with it. Zaroury isn't as good a player, but at least he makes his mind up quickly. As someone else has said on another thread... Philos problem and the attack in general is that by the time they have received the ball, the opposition have had time to get into shape...
Jaden has been **** since Rosie dumped him for a loanee and moved his positionKLP season with us was much more impressive. He kept us up. Philogene has been ****e since returning from injury.

We didn't get Sharp to play, he was brought in to mentor Delap.
So I was told on here, Delap who I think is here on loan and may already have been injured when we gave sharp a contract.
