Maybe we did - doesn't seem like LR fancies him, though. Maybe he was happy to sign a new deal knowing he'd be sat on the bench a lot of the time?

He's way too tall for us. We simply don't need those sort of players.

Tbf, we did sign another striker.
Rosenior thought Sharp, Ohio and Connolly would be sufficient. And that the money he had to spend would be better spent elsewhere. He was badly wrong, and it's almost certainly cost us a go at the play offs. Well, that and the pitch #obvs.

Negative fans are by far the #1 reason we have blown our play off chances.

I believe if we see this or a repeat of the Stoke performance, Rosenior could be on his way sooner than he thinks!

We didn't get Sharp to play, he was brought in to mentor Delap.

So I was told on here, Delap who I think is here on loan and may already have been injured when we gave sharp a contract.

Yep. If we win our next three games - which is perfectly plausible - we will probably be back in sixth place, or very close to it.

Way way back on this thread Bruce senior was lauded. Both him and junior enjoyed the very best of their respective careers here. Elsewhere the story runs, sacked, walked out, loaned, benched. History now, and that is my take on it.

I think this is an irrelevant point as Coyle was imperious in the air as well as covering a number of times with his pace to make recovery

While it's true that our speed of passing is one of the problems, Philogene contributes to the problem with his slow decision making. Like a lot of talented wide players, he's used to being able to hang on to the ball without being dispossessed, so if he gets it and then takes a few seconds to decide what to do then he's not going to lose the ball (except when he's up against a good FB like last night). So even if we get the ball quickly to him, he's often slow to move on with it. Zaroury isn't as good a player, but at least he makes his mind up quickly.

I think the question was whether 3 at the back was wise or whether we should have played with 4 - I was doubtful given the speed of Leeds wide men - however, I think it worked last night until we lost both backs to injury - personally I'd have gone to 4 at the back when Coyle went off to bolster the back line - Rosie didn't do it and the rest is history - at the end of the day, a draw would have been a great result but in reality we needed the three points

Brought in to mentor Delap and for late cameos. On the odd occasion when he has come on, one or two nice touches aside, he's contributed nothing. Not a surprise as his career at this level was over. I thought it was ridiculous at the time that we would bring in a player to mentor someone else, even more so when their game is totally different. Isn't that the coaching team's job?

Rosenior wanted Connolly; largely a waste (as some warned). And then Ohio - what the hell was the point when we needed a striker now, not someone who we might or might not sign for next season. With the money spent on Sharp and Ohio we could have had a decent striker for this 2nd half of the season. And arguably the money spent on Carvahlo could have been used for a striker too as we already had enough players in that mold, even more so when Omur came in. Tufan has bizarrely become a bit part player. Traore doesn't even get a look in.
