I thought we got Billy Sharp for games like tonights where he could come on for the last 20 minutes or so, OK we had to make 2 substitutions for injuries but why not bring on a striker when going for it.

We got sharp to help Delap develop. Not sure it was ever intended for him to play.

Think you’re by far the best team we’ve played this season, we’ve only deserved to definitely lose two games this season, Southampton (and we did) and tonight.

The difference tonight we were at home, I don’t know if we were poor or you made us look worse than we were. Either way, you’re better than the 4 teams above you, I’d not give up hope of 6th

I rest my case.

Appreciate the honesty. We’ve made a few sides look ordinary mate but our squad depth and a real lack of firepower holding us back right now and that takes time and parachute payments.

Cheerio..

i said rosie signed sharp and connolly
but i forgot about ohio
he was on the bench
also not trusted
that is bad also

considering leeds switched bamford for piroe

He looks no different from the player we raved about in terms of effort, he's just failing to beat his man and score during a period when the whole team is struggling a bit. Also, typically wingers stand no chance in our team anyway, our style clearly hinders them and eventually confidence drains despite such a supportive, patient and understanding fanbase.
Morton didn’t appear to be hindered when putting the cross in that brought about the goal.

nah this i absolutely disagree with
any manager at this level of football is arrogant, if you dont beleive in yourself, you dont make it

rosie is inexperienced, but lets not insult him and say ridiculous things

to be a championship manager is insane, you know what you are talking about
but every decision matters, its tough
So when Grant wouldn't change he was arrogant but when Rosenior won't admit his style isn't right for the squad he has he is not?
I don't hear McKenna or Carrick constantly chatting guff. They seem to avoid bigging up themselves and their squad at every opportunity

One more thing: if we want to complain about something Rosenior did (and we usually love to do that don't we) I would be looking at the switch to long goal kicks at about 80 minutes I think it was. We've done that a few times when holding onto a result and it's backfired at least twice before tonight. We talk about being brave, playing attacking football away from home, but to me it seems a bit negative to start going backs to the wall in a game we've dominated up to that point. When I see us make that change I always worry because you know it means we're going to be pinned back for the rest of the game, and as I say, it's led to us conceding a late goal at least three times now (Norwich away, Southampton home, and tonight).

He's come in, moved us forward. But the next step is just a step to far for him ( at this stage in his career ) imo. Hea shown no signs of addressing the issues we've seen up top ever since he came in, he doesn't seem to even trust his own signings to do it now. He's quite obviously a nice guy and loves the club. But I fear he's just swallowed every single coaching manual he can find and runs of that, he seems to lack instincts and belief in what you can see with your own eyes.... If he can't get data on it and and analyse the hell out of it then he's not interested. All the best in the game ( both players and managers ) he that natural ability to just make things happen/just do it. LR seems to lack that.

Over coaching is a term I'm hearing about him more and more

I think some of the January signings were brought in to make up numbers, rather than being out and out choices for LR and the club.

no its in general, carrick and grant also has unparrelled arrogance
mate come on, youve been in professional sport
the arrogance and confidence needed is huge otherwise you cant make it at any pro level

The players didn't deserve that tonight but I'm afraid the manager did. Well though Coyle played at CB, why play 3 of the back 4 out of position (Jones is a right sided CB) and leave Macca out. Some say Slater played well tonight but Bamford's miss, the shot against the post and the penalty all came from him not being a proper RB. Then he compounds the madness by bringing on Christie who has barely played since he played (poorly) at Christmas and never as a centre back. Was Macca injured? If so, why was he on the bench.
And then he brings on Zaroury ahead of a proper striker so that Philogene, who was just finally beginning to have some joy, has to go on the right where he has been ineffectual since the ineffectual Zaroury arrived. Guardiola and Klopp are much better managers than Liam Rosenior and they don't make decisions which defy logic. I fear only a manager who rates himself too highly would make these decisions. I feel as I did after Friday. Unless this manager shows a capacity for humility and becomes less delusional about how we 'always deserve more', I'm not sure I'd entrust the next season to him.

You're just not grasping this running out of subs due to 2 injuries thing at all, are you?

**** me, he's had a bad few games but I don't get why this fanbase is so reactionary all the time. After Rotherham he was the next Messi, now he's the same as Ebiowei because he's in a rough patch. He's still putting in plenty of effort

People are actually whinging tonight because we've lost to the 2nd place side in a game we deserved something from. The entitlement has gone ****ing obscene.
In relation to JP, it’s not just his attacking lethargy that has surfaced but he’s just letting players go in the box. Cost us a goal on Friday and nearly another tonight.
With regards to tonight in general, I thought we dominated them for long periods and deserved at least a point but as we all know, football doesn’t always work like that.
