I thought he was my age ISH and I'm 56. You obviously knew him well as did Bob so condolences to you both mate.
All of these lads were great mates of Tom ... ... this is from our match at Accrington. Either me or Tom would've taken the picture ... ... who do you know?
Known him since 1972, couple of years older than me but at same small school where everyone knew everyone, and always safc daft. Nice lad, and just like Allan crago a mlf gone far too soon. RIP.
You're lucky to have known him so long mate. There was always a good feeling around Tom and lots of smiling faces. It's been great seeing all the comments around the boards about him.
Sunderland till I die mate. RIP Tom. And I like you Bob for what it's worth. You get some stick but keep posting. And so you should.
You've probably guessed that a lot of what I post is tongue in cheek ... ... sadly the nuance doesn't always come across, on here, so it winds people up. Anyone who knew Tom would tell you he was always very defensive about SAFC and never shy at speaking out. I'll take that as a bit of comfort while you're attacking me
You and Tom are of the same stock Bob ... ... speak your mind and take the consequences. Can't fault you for that.
Was anyone on here at Man utd away when the Bear said we all stick together at the end, Tom decided to sneak out and got caught, he gave as good as he got, but got a good shiner, on the bus on the way home he said it didn't hurt honest what a laugh we had.
Same here mate. I've reached the age where I'm not willing to just tolerate arseholes when I'm out. On here is a different matter, you can choose to just log off or ignore
I never block anyone mate. I've got rhino skin and couldn't give two fooks what people think of me One thing though, someone once said to me "you never know what the other person is going through" . I sometimes think about that whilst weighing up whether they are a twàt or not
The bear, now there’s a blast from the past, last time I ever saw him he was shuffling up roker ave in slippers, not a nice sight.
Tom's Funeral is on Monday the 15th, we are asking everyone to wear red and white. The funeral is at St Chads then to the crem. After the Funeral we will know by Wednesday The times I will post tomorrow. RIP
I will do the church, but not the crem, hate those places, willing to meet for a wake afterwards though
