For them to allow a U.N. vote with the words "immediate ceasefire" is a watershed, and good on them for doing so.

Whether it leads to a ceasefire, I doubt it but what it does do is hopefully isolate Netanyahu and his fascist government. There are already moves by U.S. to sideline Nety and meet with other Israeli officials. And hopefully that leads to something.

You know my feelings, it's not enough that Israel doesn't invade Rafah, but the indiscriminate murder and maiming of unarmed men, women and children as a form of ethnic cleansing has to stop. Then hostage swaps.

1. Dalerjon Mirzoev - CONFESSED - 32, Illegal Immigrant from Tajikistan, overstayed work visa, father of 4 young children.

2. Saidakrom Rachabalizoda - 28, allegedly born in Tajikistan, lives in Moscow.

3. Shamsiddin Fariduni - 24, Born in Tajikistan, factory worker, father of an 8-month-old baby.

4. Muhammadsobir Fayzov - Hairdresser, wheeled in on a stretcher to court. All have reportedly been charged under Russia's "Terrorist Act" for their alleged involvement in the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack. The maximum penalty is life imprisonment.

Looks very much like the FSB just grabbed some random dark skinned guys off the street and battered a confession out of them, to make it look like they were on the case.

Same way the British police grabbed some random Paddies after the Birmingham and Guildford pub bombings.

Yup ... for reasons unknown... not that dissimilar to their own recent one in essence .. I.e. immediate ceasefire with hostage freeing connotations... the only difference is that the US ones contained no criticism (real or implied) of the Israeli regime actions that have flattened an entire territory and brought it to the verge of famine ...

As has been mentioned before. Natanyahu's eyes would have lit up on 7th Oct as it (and the US) gave him the green light to enact ethnic cleansing in Gaza

I don't know whether it was an inside job, woefully (intentional ?) lack of security or just an opportunistic moment, but either way Israel have used it to enact some of the very worst kinds of abhorrent human behaviour upon the people of Gaza

Women, Children, the elderly, the sick and disabled. None of them have been spared.

I still remember @Citizen Kane. on here saying that 'Israel want nothing to do with Gaza'

It appears one of the guys they've got was seen on CCTV images casing the joint. Probably only went there to pick up his tickets.

Anyway more seriously, it appears Putin now accepts it was Islamists, but said he will find out who sent them. Probably get his guys to cut another ear off for the confession it was Ukraine.

I've travelled all round that area, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and a place called Williamsburg way south of there, as they have a Busch Gardens, this ride use to be all the craze to go on, not there anymore (the ride), probably mild by todays standards, second climb is the best bit...

It's safe to say that Nety knows if the war ends his political career is over. Given a choice between killing thousands including the hostages which keeps him in power OR sticking two fingers up to everyone else including the U.S. he's going full on first option.
