Would love to say I did. Lets just say I was £50 lighter after our lunch and a bottle of red.

Agents spread all kinds of lies to agitate moves, players pretend they want moves to blackmail their current club and managers chirpily 'speak well' of players of other clubs but pretend they're not touting to sign them ...

... as you say 95% of it is propaganda or bait, Sunderland have become much more savvy at handling it imo.

Agents also sell rumours to papers. They make money however they can. It’s murky and needs to be controlled. We are definitely better at that these days, much stronger and stabler. I trust Speakman with this bit. He just needs to get us back to more competitive players in all positions, better judgement because he’s done it before.

Not one person is denying that, he has the position till we find one not because we employed him in that role. What do you want the club do let the players pick the team themselves or just employ another **** head coach because they are available now

****e player. Just an ugliness to Keane's attitude towards him as a human.

Small defence of agents. There are rotten ones and good ones. My mate has been in the game long time. He and I played at a good semi-pro side donkeys years ago. We were partners in crime on the pitch, quite literally. He always said he wanted to look out for players after playing. I reckon he is entirely above board and a top lad.

The lad I knew was a mate to be fair. Also used to play football with him and I know the world because I drove to games with him. He just operated in a vile business in my view.

Errr.. a year ago speakman was saying they were constantly monitoring the succession planning etc at all levels. The fact it took 2 weeks plus for him to come up with Beale despite the universal negativity that it didn't work and now the matey option despite Dodds clearly being miles out of depth being in situ.

It's a joke - no other championship club would want Dodds and Proctor in a million years.

You should write a strongly worded letter to the club.

Just because you are monitoring the situation doesn't mean the head coach you want is available. The biggest mistake the club made was signing Beale. Plenty would say we shouldn't have sacked TM, however we don't know what went on behind the scenes, his position was possibly untenable due to differences in opinion.
We don't want Dodds and Proctor running the first team but what we're the options.
Yes the club ****ed up however what do you suggest they did, keep Beale, employ a head coach that's available but they don't actually want or stick with Dodds and Proctor and wait till the summer to get who they want.
I'm really not happy with the situation but if that's the 3 options then I think they picked the right one

There is never a right one when the season is effectively over in January with half of the season to play. They have totally collapsed this season due to poor judgement.

Agree, poor judgement. However, given the progress of the last 2 or 3 years,I'm waiting to see if this current setback will be corrected and we can continue our progress, before condemning KS to the gallows.

I remember being excited about a future appointment before, then we got Beale.

I’ll keep my excitement in check this time - otherwise we’ll end up with John Carver.

I’m not following all the rumours that closely however that is the first time I’ve heard Danny Rohl’s name mentioned. There is a good chance 1 or both Sheff Wed and QPR get relegated yet, I think even if they do, Rohl and Cifuentes have done very good jobs and could be worth considering.

Both Still and Rohl would be good hires for me. The unnamed Belgian is interesting though.
