Ive decided to start Jiu Jitsu again tomorrow morning. After my really bad depressing, worrying post for many who i have a connection with on here, id just like to give you all some positive feedback in how im moving forward and in a better place. To all the posters that reached out to me... Ill never forget it. X
Good on ya Tees, it will do you the world of good mate. You never know, your two lads might take an interest in it, and take it up as well. Keep the thread updated on how it's going. And again, we'll done.
Can't beat physical exercise for exorcising the demons, main reason I lift weights. Makes you feel better about yourself and tires you out to the point that it's easier to relax and not think about negative stuff. Good call mate.
Well done mate. Take a big man to reach out and you did that. Not sure i want to meet a sad Tees with Ju Jitsu training though
Thanks mate, ive always loved grappling and i reckon im pretty good at it tbf, always have and when my lads were born, game over...
Love you too mate, great to you on the up. Keep pushing for the light at the end of the tunnel and one day it will be in your hands
Good idea to get back into something you were into before you had kids, got to look after yourself as well. Never tried any kind of martial arts I suspect I'd be pretty **** at it but I like boxing, got a heavy bag in the garage and there's nothing better for letting off steam. Hard to be mad about anything when you can barely lift your arms an inch.
You're a good bloke Tees, no less than you deserve. I'll always be glad to meet up again ... ... only beer for me though, don't want to affect your training
Well done mate. Great decision,it'll be good for you as it can be for everyone. I've practised martial arts since my teens and it's definately helped me through the difficult times. It's as much the mental strength and peace you can get from it as the physical. Good luck.
No harm is asking on here mate, there's usually someone can help. I'm just trying to find some Leeds tickets for someone on here I often have rows with ... ... a bit like yourself
As Nacho says physical excercise is a great outlet . Healthy body healthy mind ? It does release those ( endorphins?) , happy hormone things. Hope it goes well and report back your progress!
Exercise & particularly the self discipline getting good at Martial Arts requires are brilliant for mental health. My black belt in Hecky Thump proves this
