Again welcome to football 2024.

And it does matter to us, because every extra pound the club makes 70% of it goes to the budget for playing staff and players.

The joys of sustainability

So if it's so great why do you keep posting that you're at the crossroads and thinking of jacking it in?

What is it that's pushing you towards such a profound decision?

Not for the people who actually matter, us.

You keep saying you're thinking of jacking it in and not bothering with football ...

... why is that if it's so much better than it used to be?

You can't have it both ways.
I never said I was jacking it in. I said I was at a crossroads in my support.

Part of me wants success, part is quite happy being sustainable and not chasing the dream.

At no piont did I say I was jacking it all in.

Your very good at editing your posts after you have been quoted

So what does that actually mean?

I'd never dream of not going, no matter what the circumstances, it means so much to me.

What is it that's put you at the crossroads in your support?

This is what you said,

"I am at a real crossroads in my supporting life and to be honest struggling with football in general."

Because I see a future where we are sustainable with affordable football for the fans, owner input is zero and we stay in the championship, close to the top but never achieving promotion but with a team of exciting young players that stay maybe 2 years, we develop and off the go.

Or we get to the premier league and make up the numbers as cannon fodder for the big 6.

Again struggling with football in general as I have no interest in the premier league and the money.

But feel free to assume that means I give up on all football

Edit and no doubt you will mention some random game in the 1980's you attended at great expense to yourself as justification why your such an uber fan

You never mentioned the PL or money in what I've quoted.

You said you were at a crossroads in your supporting life ...

... unless you support other teams that means you're at a crossroads with supporting Sunderland.

If that isn't what you meant you really need to take more care in what you post imo.

I'll leave you to continue backtracking .....

To be fair the atmosphere took a massive knock when the away fans moved so I don’t see that changing anytime soon. But I don’t really want to open that can of worms again.

Very pleased overall with the announcement.

Now all we need is a decent manager.

I stopped going because of that, totally ruined the place for me!

Always thought the North Stand should have been our home end and the focus especially with the extension on it

How dare you suggest or hint that I support another team. Just because I couldn't get to games like super fan Smug means **** all.

For the third time I'm at a crossroads because I like where we are, winning more than losing and being a big fish in a small pond and that contradicts what being a fan is meant to be about, about wanting promotion, playing with the big boys, winning trophies.

I clearly didn't suggest or hint anything, you're just hoying up a smokescreen to cover what you said.

This is what you said,

OK that's me done, can't be bothered with you and your high and mighty attitude

This is what you said, I didn't say it <laugh>

If you're not at a crossroads with supporting Sunderland and not struggling with football in general I apologise.
