The away kit could have been brilliant, but the diagonal stripes spoil it…

I must be getting old, the kit is a bit rubbish. But I'm more pissed off that grealish has not pulled his socks up, and the other one has pulled them up too far. I dont get the socks over the knees, they are not ****ing stockings.

I still don’t know why we play in red, white and blue.
Why blue?

I seem to recall reading that England were originally going to play in all white but the rugby team international side already were so it was decided to have dark blue shorts. Might not be true of course. Trouble is when they put red in you then get the colours of the union flag.
A red and white kit would be representative of our colours. Or maybe an all white kit with a red cross on the front and back. That would piss some off.<laugh>

Edit - Seems they did play in all white for their first few games. Maybe they added navy blue shorts to distinguish themselves from the rugby team.Interesting to read that they originally had to provide their own shorts and up to the mid 1930s played in their club socks. I think that used to be the case with union, a tradition that carried on with the British Lions and Barbarians.

Stupid decision to ever play in blue, and I can’t see why it needs distinguishing from rugby either. New Zealand do ok sticking with one colour for all teams.
First international should have been us in red and white and the sweaties in blue and white.
Simple
Red White and Blue seems too much like we’re a UK or GB team. Like the olympics

White kit with red details for me

We started off with White/Navy for pretty much all of the first half of our history, we only really started having red in the kit from the 50's and the red shirt obviously got more popular after we won the World Cup in it.

The home kit looks like it might be nicer in the flesh, with whatever pattern or texture the fabric seems to have more clearly visible.

In general though, I think the Nike kits for England have been nowhere near as nice as the past Umbro kits, but I imagine they’re more popular just because it’s Nike.

And those prices are daylight robbery.

I like them both. Would still rather us switch back to Umbro asap though.

On the subject of colours matching flags... is that really a big deal? Is there orange in the Dutch flag? White in the German? Blue in the Italian?

Nike just make **** kits.

It's not good, but it's infinitely better than the current one. Which is the worst kit ever.

Can't for the life of me think why the Dutch play in orange. :emoticon-0125-mmm:
