The second is how aviation emissions are attributed to countries. CO2 emissions from domestic flights are counted in a country’s emission accounts. International flights are not – instead they are counted as their own category: ‘bunker fuels’. The fact that they don’t count towards the emissions of any country means there are few incentives for countries to reduce them.

It’s also important to note that unlike the most common greenhouse gases – carbon dioxide, methane or nitrous oxide – non-CO2 forcings from aviation are not included in the Paris Agreement. This means they could be easily overlooked – especially since international aviation is not counted within any country’s emissions inventories or targets

Better to have one car with one working engine than two cars with only one working engine, Fred Flintstone. :emoticon-0125-mmm:

    Whatever next.

Mankind will never be able to get into the supermarkets again with all those effing healthy cucumbers lying around the places. All the extra trucks to transport the bloody things on the road, knackering the air we breath. Not to mention the increase in used condoms littering the bikesheds and beaches.
Down with salads and cucumber sandwiches in all the tea rooms that will eventually swamp our rural habitats! Sod Ratcliffe and United !

A tragedy in the making, no?

Did we blame climate change for this?

They’ll have been in trouble when the music stopped.

No avoiding wet feet when they had to sit down.

Is the pollution caused by military conflict included in the figures? On the one hand push for 'green' energy, and on the other billions for armaments.

Our annual rainfall must be around about 30 metres then...It's rained every day, sometimes in biblical proportions.
