You can now change your own username once every 21 days. All your previous usernames will be recorded in your profile. To change your username go to 'Settings | Edit Profile | Edit Username'.
Mick removed the sticky, as the moderator has now been appointed and a second moderator is now being added.
Ah! That's good news. Means you don't take all the stick from posters who do not like a decision made against them! Who is No.2 then? (I am not a number, I am a free man!!)
I think that will detract from the messageboard. Consistent identity is important so that you have a handle on who you are talking to. It will become highly frustrating if you want to discuss something with someone who you have no idea who they were 21 days ago and are faced with searching through some history file to find or keep track of who they are now. I think changing username should be only allowed where you have a stalker situation like poor sunn40 on CI and should be the preserve of the moderators at the request of the user concerned.
On 606 users could change their names whenever they wanted, but people rarely did, it's only if there's been an issue that things usually get changed. The second moderator is Dutch_Mountain_Dog.
Thats why i dont want to change any of my other things (avatar, sig) becuase nobody would know if weve spoken before. The only reason i changed is because i rushed and didnt think the site would take off like it has so didnt really put any thought into it. (not like a great deal of thought went into my new one ) I wont be changing again
Strovolos, I have just tried it using Tigerface, and it is simple and quick to check up on someone's history. Give it a try and see
i might do. i could make it coincide with an appropriate religious festival. maaybe i could get a sponsor every few weeks. eg x sponsored by spot-the-ball any takers?
I have tried to change mine to sunn40, but it wont let me because that user name is currently being used as Sunn40 by you know who.
I wonder if Sunn40 ( the stalker ) will grow up now and change his name to TigerTit or something else more appropriate.
