The essence of those comments are correct, whilst we don’t demand Haaland and Mbappe, we do demand upwards progression in player profile and sometimes we (supporters) make a rod for our own back.

I actually think the bulk of the fanbase can see how far we have come and appreciate this is only our second season in the Championship and a mediocre mid-table finish isn’t the end of the world, the problem seems to be they are silent and the noise comes from a low IQ 10-20%.

According to Uruguayan media Juan Sartori reportedly “warned” Louis-Dreyfus when he first arrived at the club, “They [[HASHTAG]#SAFC[/HASHTAG] supporters] want Haaland, Mbappé and Bellingham, so have the check ready.” Just a proven striker would’ve been nice tbh.

@_GraemeAtkinson
Same reports state, on KLD, “The Swiss-French welcomed the possibility and prioritized the “enormous potential” for growth in the project. But he did not take into account that, unlike a company, management is also influenced by the demands of the fans.” [HASHTAG]#SAFC[/HASHTAG]

@_GraemeAtkinson
Interestingly, for those who overlook Sartori’s - at best questionable - track record because he is a ‘silent partner’ just writing cheques and not getting involved in day to day operations there’s also this “…Sartori… influenced the dismissal of coach Lee Johnson.”

@_GraemeAtkinson
This follows more recent reports suggesting Beale was informed of his dismissal by Sartori too. [HASHTAG]#SAFC[/HASHTAG]
The Bellingham, Mbappe and Haaland was a joking side comment that Sartiri said to KLD. I've not taken any more into that. I half decent striker in our realistic view would have been Moore.

We signed 3 squad players in January, that haven’t improved us, we signed 9 or 10 in the summer that haven’t improved us. We will never know the true cost of both windows but in my opinion we should have put all that money into 3-4 experienced championship players and retained Pritchard. We would be in a far better place now, we had a great season last year and it just needed some investment in quality and experience, hopefully lessons have been learnt for this summer

Silly by WMS. Faux outrage. Comments are years old and rehashed as a joke on STID S3.

I have to admit that the club recruitment policy has gone too far with young players.

Striping out the more experienced players in favour of under 21's has IMO hung the head coach and the young squad out to dry.

I'm all for the model, but it has to include a sprinkling of experience.

As said above Similar comment was mentioned on STID so just gives potential for people to get up in arms about nothing.

On a side note, satori is an interesting one. Wonder why he’s still involved and what his feelings are with the club. Just interested in a big return on investment? Obviously fair enough but I always felt KLD would end up getting full control.

I think quality, physicality, pace ahead of technique.

He is saying Uruguayan media reporting it!

But he is choosing not to point out this is something taken out if context from Netflix and was a joke by Juan!

In another article, Graeme Atkinson states a typical promotion side has an average age between 25.6 years and 27.6 years.

Dodds fielded a team with an average age of 20.8 years against Southampton, given recent recruitment and the injury situation I doubt that figure will shoot up the next few games.

I guess it comes down to perception. Are the owners implementing a groundbreaking approach to player development that's never been tested, or are changes necessary. It would be exciting to find out if it was any other team <laugh>

Yep and WMS using it as an excuse to claim the club treat the fans with utter contempt
WMS are a bloody disgrace

I didn't see this mate I assumed the original was from someone connected to wms. Things like this will become fact and it will give some fans more of a reason to be against everything!

If I genuinely hated everything about the club all the time I'd get a new interest!

Isn't Atkinson the same prick who deliberately cut a film of Beale at a certain point to try and make it sound like he was criticising the North East, when he was doing nothing of the sort?

These lads have got caught in their own little echo chamber and can't stop looking for reasons to criticise the club. They don't represent the fans anymore, they just like the sound of their own voice.
