Now I know it's a tough job being a Mod on here, because I used to be one years ago.

I started a thread yesterday about the Seelt injury and titled the thread to encourage a discussion about injuries in general.

It was promptly merged into another thread that had nothing to do with injuries. <doh>

A long hard look at how we do preparation and recovery must be the top priority this close season.

You can have the best transfer policy in the world but if you're losing huge swathes of the squad for long periods all season long, what's the point.

Same here mate.

I started a thread about Gaza and it was merged with another about an ex-Newcastle football player <doh>

Perhaps it's a geographical problem ...

... the team up the road has been complaining it's been decimated by injuries as well.

They'll need to take a long hard look, especially as it's cost them the title.

Sorry about that, but I merged yours 'cos it was already being discussed elsewhere (as I said), then this Seelt thread had 'taken off' before I noticed it and I just thought '**** it . . . . I'm too late' <doh>

Why do people say the same thing every time we get injuries, all clubs get injuries
Sorry I'm not buying it. Look at the injuries we get man, every time a player gets injured it's not a little niggle where they're out for a game or two, it's a minimum 6 weeks job. Been like that for 2 years. Can't just be bad luck surely. What other team around loses players at the rate and for the lengths of time we do? I remember when allardyce was here for example, he was very big in preparation and training methods, correct warm ups and warm downs etc, we didn't have an injury. Look at Kirchoff, massively injury prone player yet never got injured under him.

Can I just add, Dodds is f in ****e... why are we so crap at set-plays (corners my main gripe)? What's he coaching them to do? This then leads on to fitness, is it being coached? I doubt it all really.

It's correct. Plus when you add on our model and signings so many players who haven't experienced the rigor of this league, will lead to more injuries.

Personally, I don't think we rotate the squad enough. Certain players in key positions seem to play every minute.
Sorry to go back to Stewart and the striker situation but one previously injury prone striker for two seasons was like an act of self harm. Added to that a loan striker who gets constant tackles from behind. What other club does that? Idiotic
