Average length in post of managers in the EFL is currently approx 235 days. In 2015 it was about 314 days. So its dropping all the time.

People post their own opinions Bob, no one follows me or agrees with me unless that's their genuine opinion.

Suggesting people slavishly go along with me is quite insulting to them, sometimes they agree with me but say so if they don't.

Personal friends will disagree if they wish, I have no problem with that.

And yes I was Reiver and proud of it, I thought everyone knew and I've never hidden that ...

    ... obviously you're the exception.

Girls, girls. You're both pretty ok? Can we just get on with posting on a forum and not treating this like Mumsnet?

Come on man, give me a break.

Bob's come on to post a thread having a pop at the club and I've responded politely.

If it was a Mag attacking the club would you be offended at my response.

Bob does nothing but moan about SAFC ...

    ... I respond, what's the problem seriously.

You haven't responded to the thread at all, just me, why not?

Why should I, my response would be the same if it was a Mag or anyone else.

If people come on here, attacking SAFC, they should expect a reply ...

... if not please tell me why not.

Just my 2 pence on Big Sam England and if he would have stayed etc...

I'm not sure if I remember rumours at the time or not but one thing I remember is the pre-season interview he gave in the summer training camp. He came across as someone who was completely fed up and it was clear he wasn't happy with how we were backing him in the transfer market. He didn't look happy at all and I remember thinking "oh ****, he won't hang around if this carries on!"

I honestly think Short and pretty much given in by then, he would have paid for a couple of players like he did when Moyes came in. However, we had just finished the season strong and Allardyce probably wanted backing a bit more because of that thinking he could kick us on! When it didn't happen to the level he wanted I think it would have only taken one bad run for him to walk away!

I really couldn't give a shiny shyte mate ... top dog of a little chat forum ffs <laugh>

I love my club and it's the club that matters, not me ... believe what you like, I really don't care.

He doesn't bother me in the slightest, I just automatically defend any nonsensical drivel directed at my club.

If that bothers you so much just stick me on ignore.

'Rattled' ... always the last resort of someone who's picked a fight, lost and can't back themselves up.

I'll be honest now, I'm not the least bit wound up, believe it or not.

I just don't like these endless attacks, on my club, from Bob, big deal.

Why don't you take your own advice and put me on ignore, seriously.

And, once again, why haven't you responded to the thread subject ... do you have an opinion of any kind?

Or is it all just personal?

Out with a mate from Sunderland earlier, mentioned both his nephews, who seem like good lads when I've met them before, have stopped going to match despite having season tickets. Apparently not going back until KLD goes. The Newcastle nonsense final straw.
Surprised me tbh. I always thought it was mostly RTG noise, not actual genuine supporters taking this approach.
Makes me think more folks than I realise upset over this. Don't get it entirely myself like, and I hate the b and w tw***

Why would they not go to matches until KLD goes? Obviously not very good supporters. Why this hate for KLD, the guy who brought us back from the gates of extinction? They probably wouldn't have any matches to go to if KLD hadn't bought the club. And we are not at the end of his 5 year plan, yes, not everything has gone to plan YET. Just get behind the club, and stop all this sniping.

We arent alone in this mate, but like many clubs we are at fault and have a poor mentality at times when it comes to coaches / managers.

As Norton says the average lifespan of a coach is getting less and less. That of course doesnt excuse clubs who have a high turnover of coaches from criticism and scrutiny. Most coaches will tell you time is important. More so if you havent got a billion pound squad. Time to create a playing squad that gels into a style of play with tactics they understand. Some footballers take quitd a bit of repetition before they have the understanding.

In my opinion there are coaches we have been too quick to let go, or perhaps too unwilling to listen to. Mowbray, Ross, Coleman, Poyet. We also make some very strange appointments in my opinion. We seem able to pick a duff candidate from a decent pool. Beale, Parkinson, Grayson, Di Canio, Sbragia, Wilkinson. You have to wonder what the club were thinking on some of those.

Some who failed us I dont blame the club for. Allardyce and Moyes both took the job and were unlikely to really fancy it in my opinion, although I would have loved to have known if Moyes said anything upbeat during interview. Alex Neil did what he did.

There are a few coaches I think have been a good fit and had plenty of time and took us as far as they could. Johnson, ONeil, Bruce, Keane, McCarthy. Advocaat was always a stop gap but was a good one.

As I say we arent alone, but I dont think we are good at picking or supporting coaches at times. Probably down to the mentality in modern society of needing everything now. Or the desperation not to be relegated again in our case which is a mitigating factor, but not a strong one.

Hopefully the next one is better thought out. After the madness of this season I have doubts, but I will give those making the choice the benefit of the doubt. Lets hope whoever it is lasts 2 seasons plus.
