British Gas made £78m profit in 2022. In 2023, they were struggling to make bread and had to put the costs up. The profit in 2023 was £750m. Yeah, proper struggling. They're just fleecing people.
They have a cap for energy companies, but they can't cap the multinationals that sell the raw materials.
The energy cap is why so many utility companies went bust.
