Short-term contract until the end of April to boost our attack. 30 years old, no idea if he's played much lately.
Well at least I've heard of him. Boost our attack for what reason? We aren't going down now. We are on a road to nowhere this season. In my view any 3rd tier season that doesn't end in a finish between 1st and 6th place is a waste of the Club's time and money. Not my money anymore though.
It is a very strange one. I can only assume Jones likes him and is thinking of next season. Not very inspiring tbf.
If Chuks has gone missing again for god knows how long we need a replacement- Connor wickham is probably the best we can get hold of - I hear Haaland isn’t available
Give up what ? Relegation? Promotion? Or just breathing - we need to se the season out without relegation so if he’s available get him - he’s better than Bonne
Ffs, look at his appearance record. Has not played this season and played not much last season. He has a goal ratio Leaburnesque. We are reasonably safe from relegation. It's reported he lives in Locksbottom so we probably called up details of players without a club who we did not have to pay relocation expenses.
Probably exactly that ! But hopefully he’s a fitter body than Chuks , Leaburn and anyone else I’ve missed that’s in the sickbay!
I cannot sleep for thinking about this signing. He played around 25 games with a 1 in 5 ratio last season, this season he has not kicked a ball.
I'd be worried if it was a 3-year deal instead of a 7-week deal. I'd rather see Casey or Mbick given a go, but maybe they're not ready. Having Wickham enables NJ to keep our main strikers fresh.
Don’t have an issue with such a short term contract. There’s not much to lose and if he chips in with a goal or two (assists or scores) and that gains us a point or two then all well and good. Miles is out. Chuks is probably out. Ladapo isn’t a hold-up player (by his own admission). Kanu has done well but shouldn’t be leading the line at his age and again isn’t a hold-up striker and May has gone off the boil and definitely isn’t a hold-up player.
