When I lived in Bristol in the '90s there were a couple of clubs that Black mates just couldn't get into. Conversely the Black and White Cafe in St Pauls had two prices one for black patrons (lower) and one for white (higher). Min you I wouldn't have gone in there on my own anyway
The advert below quite rightly caused a major outcry in Sir Lanka recently after advertising as "white faces only". There has been a bit of a backlash generally in Sir Lanka to an influx of Russians moving in.

Both examples come across as racism to me.
Nah, you just say that you identify as black.

and obviously the segregation a few decades ago was horrific, but you learn from history by not repeating it
there is no basis at all for skin colour only events, that causes derision and seperation
It does look like something that used to happen in the past (wrongly) that we stopped doing (rightly) but for some strange reason we are starting to do again.
