He deserves a rest anyway and Seelt deserves a chance at playing CB for a few games.
He will be a big miss though
Yeah I think a couple of games off will do him good, come back sharp and refreshed. Seelt looks good enough to step in no problem.
From the teeny bit of info I've heard it's thought Seelt will be played ahead of the defence in future. I have the feeling he was bought as a centre back but took everyone by surprise with his ability.
Without the left back injuries Alese would've been more likely to play in central defence. Hjelde is there as cover for both.
I have to repeat this is gossip from a lad connected to the club but not really in the know.
For me in the long term I'd like Seelt at CB and O'Nien at DM rather than the other way around, but I could certainly picture Seelt as a sort of young Kirchhoff.
Like you say he took us all by surprise with how well he did at RB considering he's a beast of a CB, clearly he's got plenty of ability and is versatile.
Can see Seelt as one of 3 CBs and stepping up into midfield when in possession. 5 at the back gives the full backs more freedom to push up support Clarke / Roberts so harder to double up on them, think that would really suit Pembele.
Still waiting for Pembele to turn up, hopefully sooner than laterCan see Seelt as one of 3 CBs and stepping up into midfield when in possession. 5 at the back gives the full backs more freedom to push up support Clarke / Roberts so harder to double up on them, think that would really suit Pembele.
He had a decent cameo with Ba a few weeks back, but he is very, very rusty.Still waiting for Pembele to turn up, hopefully sooner than later
He came on at home, bombed down the right wing, then trotted back... looked unfit? He had a decent cameo with Ba a few weeks back, but he is very, very rusty.
They are a) ****ing skint and b) likely to get relegated.Everton are supposedly after Ballard
