Couldn't have been much more "Ipswich" that. But, don't play well, come away with the three points anyway, can be a positive in its own right. Let's hope we play for the whole 90 on Saturday
Wolfy needs to be dropped, sorry Yorkie and PTC but I think he is out of his depth. Great on the ball but can't defend, tooooo weak, gets bullied off the ball and aerially poor!!
Not good enough, weak link!! We are conceding way too many goals and it's all down to Wolfy and Clarke, Wolfenden is not strong enough!!! No nonsense mate, he is too weak!!
Even Clarke could probably keep it tight if that’s how we played, but it’s Vindaloo football. We are not changing much for the last part of the season. Embrace it.
The first is Clarke being a muppet again. The second is Hladky. The third is not a pen, but if it is it’s Jackson. Every time the team is off the pace, Spanish comes out for Woolfy. It’s codswallop. The next in the line of Ipswich Town and England captains.
I agree needs to improve strength wise, was probably the worst I've seen him tonight. Would you believe he's the same height as Burgess. I actually think Woolfendens defensive game is really underrated, and actually Burgess has looked better on the ball this season, Woolfenden just keeps things ticking over. But his positional play is usually outstanding, the number of situations he gets Clarke and us as a team out of without putting in a tackle is superb..he has the potential to be a PL defender.
You’ve been saying it for years. And now look where we are - the only Marcus Evans era player that everyone rates enough to still be in the thick of it.
Over all that was an awful performance so many mistakes, worse game I've seen from Woolfenden, Burgess won hardly anything in the air from open play, Clarke hit and miss, first goal was partly his fault...as ever postionally all over the place. Davis made a few mistakes especially towards the end...Tuanzebe awful. Hladky what are you doing for the second goal? Morsy was very quiet, don't think he's as effective when he's playing the higher of the 2 CMs, and Travis isn't as brave taking the ball off the CBs, think we really missed Morsy sitting deeper but then when we brought Luongo on it didn't really change it. Chaplin, Sarmiento, Moore all pretty average, Broadhead anonymous and finally Burns was outstanding only player to come out of it with a lot of credit for me. That all being said the thing I liked about the performance was despite the pressure we didn't allow Rotherham too many chances on our goal (until the 2nd one went in) and everytime we managed to get the ball into the final 3rd we did look dangerous, which is a real positive as it was something we have been missing until Moore has come in. I've said it before often our best results this season have come when we haven't dominated possession but we've looked dangerous going forwards. This all said credit must go to Rotherham, they gave us a real game, don't think I've seen a team put us under that much pressure in ages. Their press was superb and yes they were direct but they also kept the ball really well. Fortunately for us they looked rubbish when we actually could get into their final 3rd.
Spanish has an opinion on Judge & Harness ???? I can only assume it is one where he talks in depth about how they add so much quality to the team ?
As always itfcptc sums up superbly.Only Burns really came out of the game with any credit.I can see the door opening for Walton to return on Saturday. At the end of the day we got the win and are still right in the hunt for second spot, must do better though! COYB!!!
