Have already said that we'd need to strengthen significantly defensively if promoted (despite the best defensive record in the Championship) otherwise we'll struggle against Prem forwadsv ... but we do have some cracking young wide players, talented midfield and an excellent young keeper...

Everton did it appears breaks spending rules, the loss of sponsorship deals doesn’t seem to have been allowed for(Russian sponsorship)as no clause was in place. Interest on stadium loans also dismissed, but I understood infrastructure was exempt?

Yes they seem to have been changing the rules. I take the piss, but It's an absolute disgrace what's going on .

It means Newcastle have a better football team now basically. We don't require a time machine thankfully.

We have actually got somewhere with money so far though haven't we. It wasn't Howes greatness despite our fans belief.

You’ve got somewhere? Mid-table in the premiership and miles away from the top clubs in the league. Well done.

You were claiming it was only a matter of time before you lot were winning trophies and becoming one of the most feared clubs in football. Now you are saying you don’t think you’ll ever win a trophy <laugh>

We've definitely got somewhere and apart from myself (see peejs avatar) made champions league football within 4 years which nobody thought would happen.

The chances of us winning something actually exists already mate , but because I'm a miserable **** I'm now taking the position we'll never win anything.

I understand you're bantering I like that , but we both know you'd prefer Newcastle were still a relegation club.

Any team consistently in the top half will win something eventually. Not Spurs obviously but anyone else deffo.

Yeah of course I would. As long as you aren’t serious challengers for trophies every season that’ll do me.

You still can’t bring in above average players like Maddison because they’d still rather be at renowned big clubs like Spurs and a fading Man Utd are still just swooping in and taking what they want from you. So much for everyone being scared of your billions and billions.

You made champions league football because a lot of clubs were in transition and you sneaked in the big door and then finished bottom of the group when you give it a try lol.

When was the last time Sunderland beat PSG? I know you need to enjoy watching Newcastle, but I don't think you're on the high ground currently with Newcastle being 8th in the Premier League mate.

Champions league football happened because Newcastle were the 4th best team in the country last season and were always going to fall backwards.

Will they be back? Probably, but you can't guarantee anything other than them being better than Sunderland for the rest of our lives.
