Let’s say you get four points back late in the season (when is this bollocks decided anyway?) and stay up by a point. I think there’s a fair argument the team who goes down would’ve approached matches differently if you’d had those points earlier. 13 games to go so if this drags on a few weeks more you’ll have teams not knowing if a draw is a good result or not.

No guarantee of that at all. Look how dominant Burnley were last season with everyone sucking Kompany off and how that's gone for them this season. Gap is bigger than it's ever been and I think we'll get hammered by loads of teams if we go up.
