I saw in the gossip column that he is pretty much surplus to requirements at Real Madrid. The figure quoted was grossly inflated but if a reasonable deal could be struck is he not possibly an answer to the glaring and criminal lack of any flair within our central midfield department? He's propably deemed too old but that shouldn't be relevant, we need flair now and the likes of Schweinsteiger and Sneijder aren't bcoming available. I think he'd sit nicely alngside Carrick and who can go about his imobile business knowing he has some proper flair and creativity alongside him whilst players like Cleverly learn. He might even give fat **** Anderson a kick up the arse.
Nah, if he's not good enough for Real Madrid, I can't see why he'd be good enough for us. We do desperately need a creative player though I agree.
Any ideas then? Seems to me that the reason he's surplus at Real is not that he's not good enough but that he was bought by the previous manager and since then Mourinho has bought Ozil, Kedihra etc. He is without any doubt good enough for us if the likes of Gibson and Anderson are considered to be so.
Chops check true_blue's profile he "supports" Man U! and half the northern hemisphere. Kaka would be an asset, though I feel he'd choose Chelsea over us, not because he thinks they're better just that big city bright lights cliche the continentals seem to fall for. On a more serious subject that woodpecker has disappeared, I'll have to check Sweats' freezer!
As sweatband said it's worth a 20 mil punt. But for now, I say stick Ashley young along side carrick. His ability to play a killer pass is exactly what we need. We also need Rooney up front, not dropping deep every 30 seconds.
drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ......................TISH!! Phew nearly the weekend, had a gut's full this week
Thats why I like you soooo much tunny. Working the weekend yet again.. then doing a spot of christmas shopping then perhaps some painting though i suspect I will probably end up in the pub.
Kaka, like Sneijder, would be a great addition if we went to 451/433 with Carrick and Anderson / Cleverley behind him and Rooney up front. But not sure he'd work if we stick to 442 with Rooney and A.N. Other in attack - he's nowhere near defensively good enough to play in a two man midfield. And we'd rely on Rooney being able to go back to the out and out striker role he had in 2010, as Kaka would be the link between midfield and attack in a 451. He's also been a bit crocked recently, but then that might work in our favour as we could use him in the 451 for the tougher matches and CL, and play the usual 442 in most of the PL games. Possibly worth a punt, but given that he turns 30 in April and Real tend to let surplus players go for around £8-15 million (think VDV and Sneijder) I wouldn't pay more than £12 million.
Swarbs, does anybody really believe Anderson is good enough for us? Previous seasons he's barely got a look in due to us having better midfield players
He's played around 30 games every season, injury permitting. The main reason he hasn't been a fixture in the first team so far, or put a good run of form together, is that he's had a serious injury pretty much every season he's been here barring his first when he was damn impressive. If he can stay injury free this season I think he'll do great for us.
You were describing City as 'us' in another thread. Are you the ulitimate, wierdo, sky sports era freak football fan who supports everyone? It had to happen eventually. You'll soon get bored, football is nothing without the disappointment and disillusionment. Where is he now mate, he hasn't played for weeks? And the last few games he did play, he played ****. For me he will never make it fully, God know's he's had enough chances. We can't rely on him coming good as our future.
Everyone under the sun and an F1 team you cant spell. A sad state of affairs. How can you even have a concept of the rivaly and passion? I mean people get slated for not attending enough matches or not being local, but to claim to support United, Liverpool and City. Thats just bizzare.
He got a knock against Galuti - SAF announced him as an injury before the Benfica game so I guess he hasn't shaken it off yet. He may never make it fully for us, but for me that will be because of his regular injuries. And bear in mind that he's still only 23 - that's only a year older than Keano was when he signed for us.
