The league table doesn't lie and next week it'll show even more... looking at individual games is misleading.

Brighton play better football and are above Newcastle.

The table definitely does not lie, in particular it doesn't lie as regards Sheff Utd:

P25 W3 D4 L18 GD-43

That team are diabolical.

Brighton are above Newcastle? By 1 point and with a worse goal difference.

Sheffield United are irrelevant.

I specifically remember people saying Newcastle would still finish top 4...... they should be able to see Newcastle are going the other way.

Can and will are very different.... this side is now a mess...the fact players are waving their arms at eachother is very telling.

The unity and comradeship that has existed while things went well is beginning to show cracks forming within it.

It's possible it will go either way, but imo this is the beginning of things getting worse... Hope I'm wrong.

Obviously the view at the start of the season, considering how good we were last season and had Tonali coming into the first team. Circumstances have dictated otherwise.

But still 8th right now and improved results is something I'll take. This could go either way.

8th would be fine I always said top half is about right from the start.
