It’s not how you lose, it’s how you react.

True that. A lot of us have been saying for a while on here that what will define our season is how long the wobble lasts when it comes.

Possibly unpopular opinion but I think a draw would be fine here (especially if Downes is out). Momentum is everything and going into the Hull game on the back of 2 defeats would put huge pressure on that game in hand.

I'd take a draw right now.

If Leeds win every single one of their remaining games then fair play they deserve 2nd. I don't think they will though and nor will we. Nothing will be decided by a loss in February just as everyone bigging up the final game of the season being the decider was jumping the gun. A lot of games to play between now and then for Leeds, Ipswich and us. So we need to not worry about the fact that we lost a game, we will lose more before the season is done and the best teams to ever exist lose games occasionally and play badly every now and then. The focus needs to be on us and how we can bounce back and improve.

Downes is a huge miss, and thankfully it sounds like he won't be out for long, but we need to figure out a way to be more solid when he isn't playing or when he is and we are playing badly. We have been far too open in the past two games. It's been like early season Saints and conceeding 6 goals shows that too. Work to be done by Martin and the team, and unfortunately that's mainly going to have to happen in the classroom because in between games right now is pretty much just about recovery. Mentality and team togetherness will be huge now and hopefully this is where players like THB can lead the way having been through the highs and lows of a successful promotion season before.
