The old logic was that after Goole there would be less traffic coming to Hull, but no ****er in planning ever seems to think more than 10 years forward, like Castle Street, pointless when one lane is closed, gridlock all over Hull, Vicky dock roundabout will either get a flyover or widened soon because that causes huge queues down Hedon Road.

That's the problem when the works are completed, traffic will flow quicker until it get to the lights at vicky Dock or the numerous roundabouts on Hedon Rd.

Reminds me to a degree when City applied for funding from the FA to help with the building of the KC and brains trust Trevor Brooking allegedly questioned why Hull needed a 25k stadium. When the daft **** played in front of 35,000 at BP for West Ham in a 4th round FA Cup match..Little wonder this country is a fecking basket case.

Flooding has closed the westbound carriageway of the A63 Clive Sullivan Way near Hessle - traffic coming out of Hull is being diverted at the junction. There are queues westbound for 2 miles back to Daltry Street.

Makes me think whether the new lowered section at Mytongate will not suffer from a similar problem during spring tidal surges.

Saw this at the time. Watching now would realise what drivel it was.<laugh>

Ray Brooks and David Hemmings, who both went on to better things, on guitar pretending to play. The girl behind the counter went on to play Doctor Who’s assistant. The person actually playing the organ was Ron Grainer who the year after composed the famous Doctor Who theme. There is a photograph of the actual singer, Valerie Mountain at the end. Apparently her and the Eagles were a very good band live.

Ive just driven back up from Exeter... the Wye near Hereford has burst its banks. You have to feel for the people that live near there. Around Jn 8 on the M5 is just a sea of water on both sides of the carriageway..

A long stretch of the M42 is closed over the weekend. Meaning a detour for any Swansea coming to ours.
