Ademola Lookman has continued his recent form by firing Nigeria into the AFCON semis.
Scoring plenty for Atalanta in Serie A, too.

Is there a reel of all his free kicks (would like to get an idea of where he does most damage) ??
Not that I could find, but most of them appear to be in and around the D.
Several against South American sides, if that means anything! <laugh>

Mali out of the Afcon, Bissouma should be fairly fresh as he's not started many games
They've left him out of the last two due to a slight strain and he had malaria.
I don't think he's going to be in great shape, unfortunately.

It's Sarr we've missed more. Apart from a decent run of half a dozen games, it has to be said Bissouma has been fairly underwhelming. Seems to be a problem common to almost everyone who leaves Brighton.

Bissouma started brilliantly, then played **** in a couple of early kick-offs and never recovered.
Really weird.

I don't think he ever picked things up after his sending off against Luton.

Like you said, weird.

Seems like a bit of a confidence player. We've had far too many of them in recent years and tbh if I'm right, we need to get rid.

TBH the fact a lot of DMs who play in Bissouma's role have been linked with us for a few months (i.e. Andre Trindade, Adam Wharton, etc etc) does make it look like he's seen as one member of the squad we're looking to potentially upgrade

Not expendable like Hojbjerg or Lo Celso (or half a dozen of our loanees) are, but given we bought him for £30m it does make it look like we're keeping our options open to potentially moving him on for a tidy sum and reinvesting the fee

It's bizarre how it hasn't worked out for him. And as pig headed as Conte was, to flat out ignore his presence for pretty much an entire season when our midfield was blowing out it's arse is also a tad suspicious.

There is definitely a bit of a pattern with these ex Brighton players. Caicedo, Sanchez and Cucurella have totally flopped, MacAllister has been plagued by injuries, and Bissouma has been largely underwhelming.

Funnily enough, only their defenders Burn and White have gone on to do well.
